  • That girl is wailing like hell into that little kazoo.

  • Loved it Loved it ...Did I say I loved it?

  • Great!

  • Fantastic!

  • While my son went to Bonaroo drinking cold beer in the hot Tennessee sun, I stayed at home in the AC drinking cold beer and watched Bonaroo Live on YouTube. That's when I saw these guys for the first time. Watched their whole show and knocked out a six-pack before I knew it. Great music. Love it.

  • I damn KAZOO! WOW

  • Are you fucking serious with the KAZOO!?! Seen em' on Tavis Smiley thought they were worth googling, and holy crap these fools blow my mind.

  • I hope that's the last song on their set, because she looks like she could pass out.

  • Super Amazing

  • wow, this band is amazing! This is what should be on the radio

  • Saw the live set at Bonnaroo today on youtube, the Chocolate Drops rock! Awesome music from yesterday and today. Keep on rockin.

  • @Elidoransgar Been looking for their Bonnaroo footage on here, can't find it!! ?!?!? Saw one short clip . . . . Any hints?

  • Beautiful. Amazing.

  • I'd be jamming if they were on my aunt's porch in North Carolina.

  • Was having a rough morning - this completely turned it around and made me smile :) Thanks!

  • shes playing that thing with all of her heart LMAO

  • Love this group. It's great that CCD has chosen to mostly focus on period style string band music from the 1860s-1920s, as a music teaher its promising to see people this age taking interest in that type of music. As for the kazoo, at one time in the US it was considered to be a serious instrument that often employed complex rhythmic techniques. Amazing.

  • 20 thumbs up!!!!!

  • Once every twenty years someone burns it up with a kazo. then we have to wait... :(

  • @CarlSchwamberger Now this is my favorite comment of the month! LOL

  • @CarlSchwamberger

Too funny....She could very well be the Hendrix of the Kazoo...

  • hendrix on crosstown traffic uses a kazoo

  • holy shit! I always thought a kazoo was like a kid instrument to annoy your parents with but damn! She rocks it!

  • Wow.............shades of Boots Randolph!

  • Don't know what I enjoy most..the kazoo or the jiggle..

  • I'd love to see CCD perform with Bobby McFerrin.

  • Man, these guys are GOOD !

Love the way they dress, too.

  • I heard The Chocolate Drops interview on National Public Radio...interesting story!

    She sings opera too!

  • The world needs more good kazoo music.

  • Holy Crap thats awesome !

  • Ok, I'm a fan!! Damn!

  • I heard your interview on Fresh Aire and ran home to hear your music. Truly amazing!!! I hope to hear more in the future.

  • the iron guitar is a dobro, idiot.

  • Why you so hateful? Really good music do that to ya, huh? What you call a dobro, I call a resophonic guitar, because of the resonator device(makes it louder). All Dobros( named after the Dopyera Brothers, I believe) are resonators, but not all resonators are Dobros, i.e. National Steel.Have a nice day, smart guy.

  • @blademon7 - Very little difference between a Dobro and a Resonator. I think this one's a Dobro because if u look carefully at 2:26, you see that the bridge is in the center of the metal plate which is typical of Dobros. You are, however, correct to point out that all Dobros are resonators, but not all resonators are Dobros. =D

  • Point well made, kfgenius. Your knowledge of dobros is far superior to mine. Your eyes are better as well LOL. I gotta stop reading these comments and just enjoy the music. ;-)

  • the guy on the iron guitar is going to town

  • Wow. That was amazing. What a talented group. And is it just me, or is that girl just a little too damn sexy? I mean come on, that's just not fair.

  • She obviously isn't a smoker, because that's ridiculous lungpower.

  • She's trained in opera at Oberlin. You're right, R doesn't smoke, but her music does.

  • yeeee aaaaa just look at that girl go

  • What a powerhouse! The C.C.D.'s are amazing! This man is mighty happy he stumbled upon you folks!

  • They are one of the most innovative grops out there now! Using kazoos, jugband instruments, and the traditional instruments of banjos and fiddles to make some fantastic music. Thank you to WDVX and also NPR to have introduced me to Carolina Chocolate Drops.

  • Yeah, this is simply great... I just heard them on NPR yesterday

  • @whitepinejack39 I wouldn't call retreading old instruments innovative but thats exactly why i like it. its a return to the Roots of REAL American music, One song against the world....

  • @whitepinejack39 There is a band called Sloppy Joe, they play the Saw, yes like you cut a tree down with ! Check em out they play Magnolia Fest at Suwannee River, Live Oak Florida

  • Sounds Nice, but I really like her singing voice better!!!!

  • Have mercy!

  • I didn't know Kazoos could rock!

  • oh this gang rocks with anything.... simply outstanding!!!!

  • Pure energy!

  • Incredible - I love it!

  • I could watch her play that all day! Sounds pretty cool, too.

  • I never thought kazoo playing could actually be... sexy.

  • @GreatMooglyGoogly I never thought the kazoo could play more than a few notes...awesome!

  • @katanaburner Kazoos play any note you can sing. That's how they work!

  • @GreatMooglyGoogly

    No Kidding!!!!

  • That's the most fun music!!

  • amazing!!! what could i say else!!! my god!!!

  • I went to see Taj Mahal at The Birchmere in VA the Choclate Drops opened. The Chocolate Drops pulled up in their van and came in the front door. I just remember the huge shoes on the tall guy, and that they looked like they'd come from a country town 50 years ago. I thought it was funny. By the end of the show I bought their album and got all of their autographs. That was two years ago and I'm still listening to their music. Real music.

  • Oh my goodness!!!! Who new a kazoo could totally jam!!!???

  • thats kinda strange but catchy. I have always thought of a kazoo as a childish novelty instrument but she play it like nothin else.

  • Great job !!

How do you book these guys ?

  • they are becoming one of my favorite bands. *sigh*

  • that's the craziest sh*t I've ever seen

  • awesome! I never knew a kazzo was an instrument! where do I find an album?

  • VERY HOT!!!!! THANK YOU.

  • Rhiannon is marvelous on that kazoo - Rock on girlfriend!

  • --And as well (as the men in the audience doubtlessly well appreciate!), she demonstrates prettily yet con gusto what the "shakedown" dance-tune form was slyly designed to do. A wonderful band!

  • This is AWESOME!!!

  • I love the rasp on that kazoo. Good God.

  • Fantastic! I'd like to be able to find your music here in Montreal.

  • this band should be playing every days at the radio and tv all around the world!!!
