Really beautiful track, and one of my favorite stage 6 tracks. But hey, we all have different opinions. My favorite stage 6 track is Fires of Hokkai, but this one is my second.
Every time I hear this theme I get a sudden rush. You go through Inferno, Hel, Makai and Mictlán, then you reach stage 6, and this song is like a huge flashing EXIT sign, announcing the soon end of so much pain and suffering.
How does it feel to have a home that you can never return to? How does it feel to be able to see it every night, but never be able to reach it ever again? I think that's what this picture is trying to ask.
@iceball3xd Well, yes. But if the fan works are anything to go by, you kinda get the feeling that Eirin is keeping up a straight face because she's bound by duty to protect her princess, but her heart isn't really totally in it. That's why I made that comment that long ago; as soon as I saw that pic, I imagined Eirin sitting there alone late at night, deep in thought while staring longingly at her home, wondering about what-if's and could-have's. It's kinda melancholic.
Ahh...stage 6 always has such fitting music, and it's usually some of the best. Hellfire Mantle's the only one that I don't really like, and Voyage 1969 is probably at the top of the list.
@iamtheshim Really? Hellfire Mantle is my 3rd place favorite, but Voyage 1969 definitely takes the top spot. Fires of Hokkai would be 2nd... 4th is Young Descendant of Tepes... to me, the rest of the Stage 6 themes after that basically exist just to pump you up and don't really have very memorable melodies, but are still really great in the context of the games.
The picture fits perfectly with the song

I'm usually too busy getting my ass kicked by bunny-fairies to apreciate the beauty of this song.
So I shall do that now. And pretend I'm not freaking out with the memories of those damn fairies.

@danuke303 Huh? Pain and Suffering?

I love this theme, for the first 50 seconds its building up to the first fight Eirin starts, after that it calms down right before the final battle.

@JapanForSale ...the irnoy is that she isn't looking at the moon ... or at least it isn't seen

@JapanForSale Canonwise though, aren't Eirin and Kaguya actually trying to lock themselves away from the moon?

Let's say you commit a crime and have to escape your country. You will try to stay away from it right? But taht doesn't eman you don't miss it :D

@JapanForSale Eirin have no intention, at all, to ever return to the moon
Guedez 1 month ago
@JapanForSale Eirin never wants to return to the moon she says. Kaguya says the same. Reisen was the only one who had a few doubts for a moment.
But Even if Eirin wanted to return, the Watatsuki sisters have planned to pardon her for her crimes and let her return home.

@iamtheshim The fuck? Hellfire Mantle is THE BEST stage 6 theme ever. I like it even more the Ultimate Truth!

@Skeloperch I don't see why this comment is disliked so much. Everybody has their own opinion.
I think my personal favorite is Grave of Being, but Voyage 1969 is also great.
