@louiscarruthers Who knows but for me it's catchy, bouncy and puts a smile on my face everytime I hear it. So that is what makes it great for me. But then I have shitty taste in music I prefer to listen to stuff that gets my spirits lifted and making me feel good to be alive.

The soundtrack in the early scenes (specifically this and the "Main Theme") provides a false sense of security to the madness that occurs in the later scenes. The movie begins innocently before descending into mayhem. I wonder how this must have felt for audiences in 1977, especially without knowledge of what happens in the movie's later acts!

This film is truly unique. Many horror films use music and sound as ways to control the audience's mood. Hausu is the polar opposite!

@yuukisama2001 I found the info. on Janus' site since they're the license holders. I can't wait. I wonder if this film was ever released dubbed. If they release it I hope they put one on because I want my mother and niece to see it. As mom won't watch anything subbed. Me I have no problem with it as I watch most international films subbed anyway.
