@spontanous91151 No, in MHFU its possible to one hit kill certain monsters. He was using an extremely over powered Great Sword with attack buffs and whatnot. Monsters that are asleep will be dealt 3x the normal damage when hit. he probably had critical draw on the sword as well which deals a critical blow.

At 2:09 you can see the scales and horns on top of the rathalos' head is chipped and cut off. That means he took damage before.

2) Look at the clock. Both reinforces point 1 and means they haven't been fighting it before.

3) Look at 2:14. Closer. The head isn't broken. The video is just extremely low quality.

And 3 normal hits do not make the same damage as a single charged attack. If you take into account that the monster was also sleeping you'll get a single, devastating, super-charged attack.

@needude72 rathalos remains paralysed for 10 seconds. It takes 4-5 seconds to completely charge the sword and you need to wait 2-3 seconds to perform a second charged attack after the first one. So if you are lucky you'll perform 2 charged attacks, otherwise only one because rathalos would fly back or attack you.

Then if you attack him when he is sleeping he will also drop an item. Also sleep status lasts 30 seconds so you have all the time to get in position and place bombs and other stuff.

@shaboom171 or you can use the reverse charge which takes 3 seconds charge and is stronger than the standard charge, with the 2 second delay is still 2 hits in 10 seconds, then another hit while it flinches out of the para is a 3rd hit in 15 seconds, which due to it being a reverse charge, is stronger that a sleep standard charge

@kirinchecker There is no cheating in this vid, they just picked up a low rank Los, buffed up with Heroics and Adrenaline +2, togheter with atk buffs from War Horn (may be wrong on the skill name), then used a level 3 charge on a high level GS while the los was sleeping, that means 3x damage, and there you go, insta kill.
