Rotting food (normally fruits) produce alcohol naturally as it rots! There is no 'need' involved!

to produce Alcohol you need to destroy food

Alcohol fuel can be grown by anybody and made by anybody. Hydrogen is nice but harder to produce.

United Nuclear dot com has the technology to change your gasoline car to hydrogen and sells a converter that produces hydrogen from water

solar -> electric -> hydrogen .... not exactly efficient... but quite clean yes...

A good point is that you don't need to drill and dug to search for hydrogen...

Problem, power in governments follows either money or ideologies that don't have to make sense, simple as that, human greediness leads to corruption and destruction.

You can move a 747 with batteries, the question is for how long :]

People doubting hydrogen possibilities, I suggest people to google for horizon fuel cell technology

I really think you are absolutly right ! But the Gasoline-lobby needs to get to an end before we can say bye to the old motors.

In Hamburg there exists Busses that do work with fuel-cell hydrogen technology and they seem to work quite well.
