@Maniaca2112 Its one reason I'm excited to see the 'Time Machine Tour - Live' CD/DVD come out that was recorded in Chicago. Seeing 'Stick It Out' live will be awesome, as well as 'Presto' and 'Marathon'. Those are my top lists of what I want to see.
i'd be rather at bubba's with mein peoples or not peoples judged by some projected ethical moral code far flung cry for true speech's freedom, holy triumvirate phantoms's mercy
@Armando2012102 another sign of the apocolypse...jack black justifies on a discreet documentary film that Rush is awesome. So is Cloris leachman , elbuddamundeaux
Its clearly Geddy (duh) but I really like how they used the recording of Geddy doing the 'spoken word' part...for effects sake. Sounds WAY more sinister that way.
This way, it sounds like an 'inner voice', than how it would've sounded having Geddy up there 'performing' it.
Somewhere I read that in '93 Geddy persuaded Sir Sean Connery to record the spoken parts of Double Agent for $70,000 plus royalties!
They wound up tossing the tracks after Sir Sean complained, unreasonably, I think, about the quality of Vodka being served in the studio's lounge.
Later, a disgruntled Rush roadie, fired by Alex after his on-stage space-pod failed to open, posted Connery's far more dramatic rendition online, in a fit of retaliatory rage.
On the edge of shleep, I wash drifting for half the nightch...Anxioush & reshtlesh, presshed down by the dahknessh...Bound up & wound up sho tightch.. sho tightch...
Sho many decishionsh, a million revisionsh...Caught between darknessh & lightch...
On the edge of shleep, I heard voishesh behind the door...The known & the namelessh, familiar & fayshlessh...My angelsh & my demonsh at war, at war, laddie!
Which one will loosh dependsh on what I choosh, or maybe which voish I ignore
It's clearly Geddy. You noobs cant reconise his voice?True,Alex does backing vocals, but Rush also uses vocal and special effect samples to recreate the studio experience live.
they use studio recordings for the special effects it is actually geddy that is singing. it is too much for him to do so they used a studio recording. like distant early warning you still get the fuzzy guitar sound
That is so geddy just like all the back up vocals are really geddy watch earthshine that's geddy during the breaks but they just play a recording just like this song it's geddy talking and they're just playing a recording!
Yes, clearly, because somehow Alex can make his voice sound like Geddy's. Listen carefully fool. It's Geddy talking. Go watch a Geddy interview or something n00b.

I have waited for so long to see some footage of this tour, finally, what they never put out there, you tube finds it.
This is one of my favorite records, and the sonic experience is really raw.

The spoken part is Geddy.
Anyone who doesn't accept this will spend the night in the box.

Just don't listen to Victor, or else you'll actually know what Alex sounds like (which is to say, just like the spoken vocals in Double Agent).
