@Stretchypantsmaster oh no u see fenrir was destine or more like wanted to eat the sun so he can but the world under internal ice... he fought against a god dont remember his name but he was a friend of Thor. finely they made a deal. Fenrir was gonna get into chains under one condition.. the god have to give his arm to him.. so the god but the hand in Fenrir's mouth and Fenrir bite it of.. thats how the legends goes
@1Skordon That god would be Tyr, Norse god of war. I guess we have been told the tale from different sources then because I don't remember anything about Fenrir doing much at all. Being the son of Loke the Aesir raised it as their own but once it started to get to big they decided to chain it up, but only Tyr was brave enough to get close to the beast. And even then Fenrir wouldn't agree to be chained if Tyr didn't give it his arm. As I have been told at least, the legends varies a lot.
@1Skordon Naw more like the Fenris (Fenrir) wolf was a son of loken/Loki and he grew and grew and ravagg asgaard, home of the gods. Odin saw a vision thet fenris would kill him when ragnarok cam so he needed it sealed. Thor, Tyr and Odin went to the dwarfs and had them make some chains, but the wolf broke em each time, so the dwarfs made the chanis of wierd stuff. the gods then wanted the wolf to try it wich he did and bit tyrs arm off. Im from scandinavien and i have studied it along time :-)
@TheUpperdupper im to Scandinavian -.- still theres many version of this story. but i believe your version is more correct. but i all so believe that i have read some were that they did made some kind of a deal..
Fenrir did want to eat the sun and put it under internal ice. but it was my mistake to think that had anything to do with the chain and tyrs arm..
loki had som weird children.. Fenrir took the form of a wolf. jormungand took the form of a serpent. and hel was half alive half dead
@Stretchypantsmaster Yes as Pantsmaster said, in the mythology if I remember correctly, Skóll eats the sun, while his brother, Garm/Hati eats the moon, which then releases their father, Fenrir from prison to battle and eat odin :P But Regardless of that, I love this animation <3
@Lukeiroth999 Perhaps that is some part of Ragnarok that I've forgotten, I remember Fenrir nomming odin but nothing about sun/moon eating :P And yes, it is a very nice animation.

@Lukeiroth999 what u mean incorrect?... Fenrir is a real Scandinavian myth!

@1Skordon as in, Fenrir never ate the sun in those myths, and never fought any grassy goblins.
