I stopped watching after he started talking about the two towers. This guy must not know much about tolkien or the books. The Two Towers was a title given by the publishers, a title which tolkien didn't like. Tolkien didn't want the books split into a trilogy and when they split it thats when they gave the titles. He also didn't like the title, "the return of the king" because it gave away too much. We cant even say what two towers are being mentioned by the title. Many towers are in the story.

Thoughts and ideas just come to you while righting and you just roll with it. Years later you look back on what you've read and it's amazing. I wrote a story six years ago about an idealist elitist trying to conquer the world, using the armies of various kingdoms to accomplish this. Meanwhile the good and brave stand against it. Oh please. The guy can't compare what happens in the movie to the actual way that Tolkien wrote it. Tolkien was influenced by his Catholic faith and Norse mythology in writing it. I thought 'air' refers to intellect. Well, I started looking it up online and so far I only see opinion on the matter. tomcatvelociraraptor I have read all the LOTR books several times and I loved the movies (also read The Hobbit, Silmarillion and Tom Bombadil plus much of C.S. Lewis's works). As a Christian I was under the mistaken belief that there were Christian motifs in the LOTR story. It wasn't 'til after the movies that I found out otherwise. I'm not a Freemason but my dad is and grandfather was. I believe it is satanic. One can be Catholic and also a Freemason. Yes LOTR is Nordic, but pagan.

You're right about the occult symbolism in Lord of the Rings. There's Freemasonic symbols throughout. Tolkien was probably a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn as was his buddy C.S. Lewis. So was Alistair Crowley. HOGD is satanic. Tolkien as probably also a Jesuit, also satanic. Tolkien probably channeled his works from the demonic realm. Considering Tolkein's position at Oxford and the people he hung with it would be naive to assume that anything in the Lord of the Rings trilogy was not linked in some way to occult symbolism. There is a pattern to what they do. Confusing and ridiculing the man in the street and at the same time passing info on to their own kind. e.g. it is likely that the Orcs were representative of our slave ancestors bred in the pits of Crete (create) and the Cyclades (cycle of hades). Oh please. The guy can't compare what happens in the movie to the actual way that Tolkien wrote it. Tolkien was influenced by his Catholic faith and Norse mythology in writing it. It's wrapped up in 'good vs evil'. Having two towers is fully explained by the story. There is no occult references to be found in it. This guy is grasping at straws.

@eahazell I don't think Sauron represented Hitler per-se, since he began writing the LOTR well before WWII and Hitler's crimes against humanity were still largely unknown to the rest of the world.
Sauron and the Ring were symbolic of the corruptive influence of power, and the desire to control Nature and other people "for the greater good", usurping God's role. There are a couple of really good videos (one with Tom Shppy and another with Tolkien's son) that go into detail about it.

@Dirtfire Saruman was more like Hitler, Sauron was like Stalin. But Tolkien said repeatedly that LOTR was not a metaphor for WW II. Sauron was a major demon, and his boss Melkor was quite literally Satan. It's much easier to look at it that way. If you don't read the Silmarillion, you can't understand it any way. Any serious LOTR fan MUST read the Silmarillion, there's no other way!

Sauron's eye looks like the Golden Ratio symbol, Φ (Phi). But in a negative sense. If you don't know what the Golden ratio is, research it - It's amazing! Φ = 1.6180339887 (positive number). However, 2 x sine(666) = negative of Φ. (I can't get this calculation to work in google calculator, so use another like windows.). Also 2 x cos(6x6x6) = negative Φ.

Sauron (the bad) and Saruman (the wizard that 'protects' the world).. Barad-dur is extremely old, Sauron build it during the second age. Isengard too - the tower of Orthank is ancient and of unknown origins..

I thought 'air' refers to intellect. Well, I started looking it up online and so far I only see opinion on the matter. It's possible, but since Tolkien was speaking of evils that have to be defeated (the all-seeing eye) I would not assume that he was in any way trying to manipulate, but inspire. He was an educated man, and through inspiration you can 'come out with' truths of humanity, past and future that you never realized in writing it. I've experienced that myself.

You make a good point, and lately I've been wondering if it's possible to publish a fantasy story unless you are of the right occult connections. But I'm still not sure, I read Tolkien and get inspiration and humanity, not evil. The Bible is a mythology as well, and yet you seem to be comparing these other myths Biblical belief (unless I am misunderstanding you?) I appreciate your thoughts on Tolkien though, I will examine the evidence for myself.

Good comment. The exciting new discoveries/theories are entertaining but so is everything else that is evil or manipulated. The basic truths that provide a level of calmness are of the straight path. It may seem inch by inch on the straight path but at the end is God/Buddha like wisdom and acceptance. No doubt Hollywood plays a major role in social manipulation.
