I agree this tune is based on jagjit Singh's composition Tum Nahin Gham nahin sharab nahin.But we have to accept Shankar-Ganesh have improved the tune and the lyrics are more meaningful than the Ghazal. I love Jagjit's ghazals like Sarakti jayen hain rukh se ,Duniya jise kehti hai, Hoton ko choo lene do etc but Vani ji has defenitely sung this song brilliantly in her ethreal voice. Defenitely the tune has been improvised by Shankar-Ganesh to give a great effect!
