Actually Dr Hook's magic was created by the Dennis Locorriere and Ray Sawyer as their frontman and all the other members. And the name did not refer to Ray alone (a.k.a. Ray and his backup band). So it is sad to see people only associate Dr Hook with Ray....
this is one of the best songs ever takes me back to my mad cap days if any one knows of any one living in the chelmsford arar who remembers this please get touch truely great!!!!!
A beautiful beautiful blast from the past!! An incredibly beautiful song! Takes me back to my youth. Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show is one of my favorite bands. It was a time when music was gold and music was real! It doesn't get any better than that!...........Peace
Am I talking on behalf of a dying race ovahere? This represents the real Dr.Hook & The Medicine Show, like 74 -79! I believe Shel Silverstein was an influent source during this period!
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
I cant get it, is this like the same group that sings songs like"Dr Hook - When Your In Love With A Beautiful Women"? and "One step to the jungle..." ?
My opinion, Dennis Locorrrier's unique voice and talent is second to none, and that includes Elvis and Sinatra. Please spend some time listening to him on YouTube, and you will see what I am saying. I'm not talking about charisma or his stage presence or name recognition. But his beautiful voice and delivery. Dennis never misses a word or a note. Perfection.
what happened to the acoustic version posted on here? They're all in what appears to be a dressing room singing this. ?? It's great! Would love to see it again.
"Life Ain't Easy" ... ain't it the truth! This song does do one thing easily, though, and that's keep its place as one of the contenders for my personal favorite song the band ever did. Go, Doc, go!
too right my friend, i just this second was going to do it myself but i thorght id look see if the other was back up, it wasnt, and youv done the job, nice one x
