I've got an '08 G35 Sport. Love it to death. I want to take it to a track day some time, is there anything specific I need to know or do with the car? Are there limitations? The car is stock, but it's the sedan model

Keys are there since push button start was not offered until later in 2007. Keep in mind, this car was built for me in Japan, arrived around March 2007. By the way it is sick on the highway. I pull away from Z06 vettes and stangs all the time.
there is no chance you would ever beat or even tie or even keep up with a z06 c6. i have an 05 with alot of things to it and there is no chance ud pull on vettes. You have an 07 so rev up and stick right so that means about 235whp and your car is also about 1600kg which makes a lot heavier then the vette. i dont mean to hate but just saying.
Might look like 03 but the shiny perfect blue carbon fiber hood and all body parts are ding free, no chips and it has 7500 miles on it. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, burn the tires and it goes up to 180 (so I am told). I passed a few GT3's on this track.

Actually it was ordered in Jan 07 and built in Japan, for me, 306 hp, 6 speed, It was delivered into US in April 07 and its mint today. I put only 5,000 miles on it, never driven in rain or snow, only perfect days.

Work on hand position. Keep both hand on the wheel AND in exactly the same place at all time. Only remove them when shifting.
I know it seems stupid, at the speeds you are going, but when you get faster, you need to have the feel of the car. You only get that from 2 places, your butt and your hands. You loose that communications and you have no idea what the car is telling you.
Also, at the limits of the car, moving your hands disrupts the suspension. If you go faster it will matter.
What track is this?

@UPSLynx My G35 is basically stock and it has passed 911's and pulls on vettes on the track.
The car is capable, it's all about the driving skills.

Self taught, however my on track instructor Chuck has been racing 40 years ! He is amazing in his Red Boxster, very fast.
Every lap you learn more. Drive fast but stay on the road. I will be at a track on Sun., a good place to see some live action.
