i moved to California in 1979 from Paris and looked forward to the lovely california golden boiled rice available everywhere in open markets in Paris. However all I found in California was broken chinese white rice. Calif golden rice was cheap in France and but not available at all in California except as the expensive Uncle Ben's. Later I found out that rice was shunted around from country to country so people at the stock market could make big bucks. . Homegrown sounds good to me .
