    Finding a job is very hard).

  • They are indispensable 4 sure.

  • @starryskies223 i was just looking up this career the other day, you should look at accredited schools, you can find them on cma.ca

  • Study hard and GOOD LUCK!!

  • @greenlightpagan

    where in the heck can you get this in two years? this community college system here in Lex, KY stinks!

  • @getrealthen You can get an associates degree in two years at a community college in Missouri. But you have to be taking all your classes full time which is about 18 credit hours per semester and have no classes below a B- grade.

  • @greenlightpagan

    not back east do the comm coll have that yet. the class sounds really rough! I have an Assoc in Science and Arts, and I am thinking either a medical lab technologists, pharmacy or medical research-like veterinary animal science research. I had thought about nursing, but nursing is getting lost in the system...at the tech college they are having new degrees which is stuff like hospital wound care team, IV teams, & what is called patient profile-admission assessment

  • @getrealthen I think that all college courses besides the general ones are rough. But it gets easier if you enjoy what you are learning.

  • @greenlightpagan

    I don't like nursing. I do like medicine, as in medical doctor. At the university 8 of us were special due to GPA to navigate a faster track for medical degrees, and that would be fine, and I do feel that medicine is within my reach easily, but I like pharmacy, but I like pharmacy too, so I am still fine tuning.

    I'm bout' ready to take my pharmacy tech exam, then two more exams for tech II and III, take some more classes and apply to pharmacy school.

  • @getrealthen I'm currently in a two year medical lab technology program in ohio.

  • hello in saudi arabia we are studying for 6 years then will be laboratory specialists , I love my CLS ..

  • In Mexico, that studies are needed to be a laboratory technician. I knew that a career was necessary technique for laboratory technician

  • @Taneygirl97 Start checking it out now what you will need to prepare during High School!!

  • @Taneygirl97 be my wife

  • MLT runs in my family...im gonna be doing thisin 2weeks time

  • In South America we call ourselves "Biochemist" (Bioquímicos)

  • I am in Serbian medical school, on second year for MLT :D

  • Hi I´m degree in Bioanalisis at Universidad Central of Venezuela my career is very similar to medical lab technician but we study for 4 years and 1 year for interships, I would like to know what i have to do to work in USA??

  • You need to bribe some people.

  • Hi Eliza,

    I think you will have to take some test to be able to have your license/certifcate in USA. But you can always do research online to be sure.

    I am enrolling into the MLT and there is lots of jobs for it, well paid.

  • how do i know if this career is a good fit for me? my relatives want me to go into nursing but im really not good at dealing with life and death situations. and i get extremely sensitive when i see sick ppl. but i love science and medicine, just not sick people.

  • My husband has been working as an MLT since 1993. I showed him your question and he says, yes. He also draws blood, which is something not all MLT's do. This is the only time he is in contact with patients.

  • what is the difference between MLT and MT?..

  • Fundamentally, an MLT has an associate degree (2 year) and a MT has a bachelors degree (4 year). In the work place MLT primarily do the bench work and the MT does not only the bench work but usually has supervisory and managerial duties as well. There is considerable overlap depending on where you work.

  • Can you tell me whether or not it is easy or difficult to get employment as a Medical Lab Technician once done with schooling?

  • The simple answer is that it is easy to get a job after you are trained. But, it depends on where you want to live when you are finished with school. The economy has slowed hiring and new positions down a bit but there are still lots of jobs available. Metropolitan areas still have many openings that are going unfilled.

  • I am a MT with a bachelor degree in The Netherlands. I also would love to work in the US. But strict immigration laws make it very difficult at the moment. Can you give me a few websites were i can brouws through vacancies? Thank you.

  • Not at all. If there is definitely employment thoughout the USA is in the Healthcare Career. So go for it. I am not sure where in the US u are located but in NY you start at 67/68k a year.

  • Thanks for the information.

  • at my college there offering this program medical laboratory technician for 2 years what is MT what does that mean?

  • MLT=Medical Laboratory Technician

    MT=Medical Technologist

    MLT=2 year associate degree

    MT=4 year bachelors degree

    MLT's usually work subordinate to MT's but not always. MT's usually are paid more (more responsibilities).

  • i was wonderin how can i credict this video?

  • Laboratory personnel should have better pay!!!

  • @Salarufinn I agree.

  • @Salarufinn Aren't they payed 90k per year?

  • @platinum243125 In my area biotechnicians are like a Prince Poppycock story. In their mind they are an employee of an advanced institution. In reality, they wash dogs for $8.00 an hour, and collect food stamps.

  • @Salarufinn

    A lot smarter than some freakin nurses. Nurses "STILL" cannot even tell you about TCells. Good god some of them are just the stupidest!! in the medical profession. All nurses do anymore is paper work, and personally, I think that an RN position should be done away with. The position of an RN should be broken down into specialty areas. Be a great way to create jobs.

  • This is what I'm going to school for :)

  • ok thats my mistake ? i got you

  • this is lab

    plz am labratory technitan but i wana be

    one of the femous of the world
