  • marciano would be killed tyson

  • I can't believe that ref even counted on that he should've just ended it...lol..

My favorite fight because Rocky was losing by points and he came up and knocked out Walcott out of nowhere...

  • i'm from holbrook ma. the town next to brockton and damn that mutha was the best...

  • One terrific bout! 2 professional masters being the best at their art!

  • fALCON pUNCH

  • 5:08 says it all man..... damn

  • Sonafaballer Lack of writing space meant a lot was unsaid. Your right about Holyfield & Foreman, these guys are big and Rocky might have had a job with them. Tyson had no chance because Rocky was quicker. Rocky is American and served in the US Army 1943, 4 war zone tours, his parents were from Italy. Pity Joe took the fight, old age beat him, Louis at 22, and Rocky at age 26 would have been some fight. All mentioned are great champs apart from Ali and Tyson. They lost our respect for all time.

  • @ToTheBallCharles2 Rocky was faster then Mike tyson? Uhmmmm, no offence mate, but tyson was the most explosive and agile heavyweight in the past 100 years, not to mention his defence was quite litterally, nearly un-breakable

  • how could they disrespect this due

    cmon

down on all scorecards taken a beating

and he comes thru with that

    against a great defenesive fighter

    cmon bro

u nuthuggers dont know shit about boxing

  • Marciano would have beat Tyson will tactics. He always kept his head below his opponent.

Class. Then some mug goes and kills him in an aircraft crash.

  • @TheMrgaztop No Prime Tyson would of killed him, and Prime Ali would dance around him Using his height and jab

  • Stallone made the best fight film ever made. As for Rocky Marciano the guys a legend. It's not who can beat him - but who can get into the ring and might dominate him. Ali would have had no chance, nor Louis, so that leaves Dempsey, Johnson, Harry Greb, Sam Langford, Frasier and a Sherman Tank, Tyson would have made the mistake of being as cocky as hell until the first Rocky M punch slammed into him then its was lights out. RIP Rocky Marciano, USA hero, great pity you ever made that air trip.

  • @ToTheBallCharles2 Tyson would not go out by no one punch ko and you didn't say anything about Holyfield or Foreman. Rocky had a little bit of title defenses and fought lots of former middleweights and heavyweights from former eras. Rocky even knows that Louis was nothing to brush off and having an attitude like that would surely be his downfall. Rocky isn't American either, he was Italian.

  • @sonofaballer96 I just don't see Rocky battling it out with guys like Foreman, Lewis or Vitali, considering he was the size of most MMA welterweights nowadays.

  • That was ridiculous. It looked like he decapitated the guy. Do you think he would have won if he didn't throw the Left aftere the thunerous Right. He was knocked out cold b4 Rocky threw the left.

  • Marciano busted him up like everyone else he faced! He would have done that to Ali too!

  • penis

  • it's like a movie. so characteristic.

  • It's so crazy to think that Marciano would never have the legacy he did in today's rules (or maybe he would, for the competition today-while good-is probably not on part with Marciano's time, quite fully, and if MArciano fought at light-heavy as he would, and cruiser, he would dominate the hell out of today's market of cruiserweights, imo), he might not have been undefeated. Having won 2-3 fights after the 12th round, by KO (I'm sure at least 2)

  • Whats strange about Rocky is he's Italian. Lets be honest Italians were never rated as sluggers. Then along comes one Rocky Marciano and all the a sudden the word WOP disappear's and its replaced by another word RESPECT. The Italians I've met are nice kids - nice guys, even nicer women, so were on earth did Rocky come from. And boy what a nice cheeky grin he had. You say the word Brockton, and 100 million people say thats were RM came from. Thats real fame for you, he made Brockton famous.

  • @ToTheBallCharles2 and the rocky movies, rocky balboea was modeled after this rocky

  • Rematch-Marciano knocks out Walcott in 1st round. That's what really happenned.

  • Rocky makes a cannon look weak

  • Rocky is the greatest boxer/brawler of all times! Unbeatable!

  • @KingPuddinsdaddy001 he only has a plot shield

  • Thats why there are no good white heavy weights any more, its all about heart. Never give up, never take a step backwards, fight through the pain. Listen to the dignity in Marcianos voice in the post fight interview. They really dont make them like that any more, just a bunch of whinging dough boys. Rip Rocky.

  • roy jones woulda fucked him up rocky is STRONG dont get me wrong but he lacks speed and if someone was more aggressive of a fighter then he was (like roy jones) he woulda lost

  • @numberoneDOUCHEBAG How in the hell would a Roy Jones in his prime (middleweight) beat Rocky in HIS prime (heavyweight)?

  • @erikthe10man jones did fight at light heavy weight so it could have been possible to get the fight, but marciano would destroy jones i dont know who bought it up but lol

  • @numberoneDOUCHEBAG no just no, u dont need speed that was what rocky was all about forget speed and make up for it with amazing power, 1 punch not 2 or 5 or 7 ONE nobody can do that not jones not tyson not ali, NOBODY had this power, round 13 was pretty much doomed he wouldnt have made a come back on points, then bam, win get roy jones 2 do that, he wont, and this is y rocky never lost 49-0 all day fuck jones

  • If marciano had lost this fight,no one would ever have heard of him ever again, that punch MADE him,BOOM!!

  • To bad there lying saying that Rocky Marciano was never beaten. HE GOT BEAT BY COLEY WALLACE!!!!! THE MEDIA LIES....not trying to sound racist but the white media back then wanted to make it known that the "white man" was unbeatable, and coerced people into believing it by shunning the facts. Make sure you look up COLEY WALLACE if you dont believe me.

  • @RastaBlackNation Marciano was undefeated in his career, i.e. paid fighting. Coley beat him in points in a three-round amateur fight.

  • @RastaBlackNation ~ i looked it up, marciano was actually 8-4 as an amateur. he fought one professional fight in '47, then somehow fought in an amateur all east golden gloves in '48 and lost to coley wallace in the championship fight. it was definitely an amateur 3 round competition, i always thought once you turned pro going back to amateur wasn't allowed. it was also general consensus that roland la starza beat marciano in a 1950 decision. marciano is rated from 7th to 12th all time.

  • GOOD OL SUZIE Q

  • how is he not ranked the best ??? i feel its because hes white hes the only hw fighter to never lose and his ko % is the greatest of all time in hw devision

  • @MegaMma4life

Most boxing insiders and historians consider his competition to be either too old or lackluster competitors. They believe his toughest fights to be against Lastarza. They consider Lastarza a good fighter, but not the kind of top class fighter a younger Joe Louis, Joe Walcott, or Archie Moore would have been. The Rock was a great fighter, and a classy guy that always gave credit to his competitors, That's all that matters. That's why he was loved.

  • @MegaMma4life He had the misfortune of fighting when the division was pretty weak. He was a small heavyweight, and fought a number of small heavyweights. Had he fought and beat Liston, he would definitely be in the discussion. But Liston wasn't the monster when Rock retired that he became by the time he beat Patterson. Ditto Big Cat Williams, who is now not very highly regarded, but that's an under-rated guy. I love Marciano, but he's number five on my list.

  • two punches or one?

  • @YtubeUserr one, the second punch i have no idea y he did, but the first punch got him

  • thats how to get the job done...incredible

  • what a bad ass, got knocked down, then starts gettin hit and his eye gets shut, but stick to his game plan, pulls a balboa basically and knock this fool the fuck out.

  • @catoplayboy you mean balboa pulls a marciano.. sense hes based off him

  • @catoplayboy ya everybody knows that.. it was meant to be funny.

  • @catoplayboy balboa is based of marciano

  • @MrMasonx742 -Nope...he's based on Chuck Wepner...

  • @beatlejim64 if that were true why is it called ROCKY balboa not chuck balboa

  • @MrMasonx742 Its true, rocky was inspired by chucks fight against Ali. no one thought chuck would survive for so long

  • @ThePlaystationwii60 maybe the fights were based off of some fights like those, but balboe is based off og rocky, 1 they have the same first name, 2 there both italian, 3 there around the same weight, and 4 they have the same fighting style

  • @MrMasonx742 Do you mean the character or the overall movie?

  • @MrMasonx742 I think the character is inspired by Marciano, due to the fact that they both kinda fight the same way, but the movie's final moment was based on the Chuck vs Ali fight. Rocky was watching the fight which inspired him to make Rocky.

  • @ThePlaystationwii60 yea the character was inspired by rocky but some of the fights yea there were based off of chuck

  • Whoa, the Rock is amazing! Love it!

  • he took a dive

  • @dennisrayso yea sure, try getting punched like that and get back up in 10 secs

  • "KEEP YOUR HANDS UP THERE JOE, IF YOU DROP 'EM YOU MIGHT GET CAU. . . .........NEVER MIND" !!!

  • This is really as gruesome a punch as can be landed. The shots that don't hit firmly on the head, but more towards the end of the face almost always knock a guy out or at least down. This was one of them. Add into that Walcott was tired, and then add into it Marciano hit like a mule kicked, and the result was inescapable, ghastly, and memorable.

I guess that's why we still talk about it today.

  • @TA152H01

THANKS PROFESSOR. NEXT YOU CAN TELL US WHY THINGS FALL DOWN TO GROUND.

  • @sunamcmnairb I can tell you where the the caps lock key is while I'm at it, I'm guessing you forgot.

  • Rocky Marciano......the greatest champ to beat fighters way past there best....and his opponents even past their best were still warned by the mafia not to attempt to beat Rocky.

  • I love how the ref kept counting even though it was clear Walcott was outlike a light.

  • rocky balboa was far better

  • to destroyxeverything...marciano was the greatest boxer of his time!....he beat who ever went against him.......no way can you compare the fighters than to now...theres no one in the heavyweight div....besides rocky tyson was the greatest...are you gonna say the same about him? he beat everyone brought to him also untill he got sloppy and lost interest...

  • Im not a huge boxing fan to be honest, but I dont know boxing history,(because my dad boxed for 33 years), and I dont think anybody in boxing will ever be as good as Rocky Marciano

  • Rocky Marciano the greatest boxer ever? Lol its like saying Floyd is the best boxer ever in this generation. Rocky's time was when the elites were getting out of their prime n where actual talents were few in the HW div. Its's like today's HW div.

  • I'm waiting and waiting for the punch and then I'm like "WOAH!!"

  • "Round 13, the unlucky number"

Italians consider the number 13 to be lucky lol.

  • Rm d defeat bob baker aka baker's dozen, belt em bob, the grinder, but first ten rounds d not b easy! Its clear ali d lose2rm but not by ko only on points or tko.he didnt move his usual self in film!rocky n weill made big mistake not fighting bb the only logical oponent left.misd chance4rm to b golden boy 5o-o on II.III.56!how cool!

  • If Jersey Joe thought Rocky was such a bum why did he feel to blind him with an abrasive? I think Joe knew very well he was dealing with a real threat in Rocky.

  • There is no doubt that rocky marciano was the greatest boxer ever, I couldnt help but laugh when someone said he ducked out on alot of fights.....That person seems to forget that he fought the best fighters around at his time and beat all of them. The only boxers what are closest to marciano is Ali and lenox lewis.

  • @GreendayShaz Archie Moore was 40 when he had Rocky down in round 2, but then Rocky caught up w him and lights out. Moore most under rated ever. I still rate Joe Louis as number one in HW history. 13 yrs he held the title. (and Archie held the LHW title for ten) Marciano hit harder than Frazier.. Ali would have done good until the late rounds. rRcky never got tired. 5-11 and 188-192. 'Shrimp'

  • Hardest ko punch ever might have been Joe Louis over Jimmy Braddock in oh about 1937 whenever

  • With Heart, determination and a cast iron body you can go a long way. Simply the best!!

    R I P Champ

  • @JohnRagoon and the punch of a fucking rocket

  • no..

  • is he still alive?

  • YOU MY HERO ROCK! AWESOME!

  • Marciano was hard as nails, as hard as they come

  • Damn.

  • fucking deadly

  • What made rocky so great also was his humility...he was a class act..and mobbed up..lol if this guy hit you it was over bar none...relentless fearless and all heart...dont know why people make it a race thing. You cant take nothing frm this guy. he was great in his time...as are all greats..no use comparing to others times cause you do not know..

  • I love how Rocky turns around and walks off like he has something in the oven. Just like Anderson Silva.

  • The guy was tough in the ring but repectful out of the ring towards other fighters !

  • @andy59tube admitadely i kinda used google, not that that changes the facts. I may have exaggerated about harrison but my point that the standard of boxing in them days was nowhere near where it is now remains. Sure marciano was a great in his day, but were he fighting in his prime now there'd be no way he'd retire undefeated, whatever weight he'd be in the modern sport.

  • I love how you get like 2 frames a second, and completely miss the contact

  • @secondeye i love how ur to stupid to realize this was in the 1930’s good luck getting good video there bitch

  • Lol the ref should have been giving him cpr instead he is counting, his last breath!

  • that punch came from rockys fat reserves ie red wine ,verdurra(greens),pasta macoroni, and fillet steak guaranteed.

  • Marciano was the greatest boxer in history he had 49 fights won 49 lost 0 and won 43 by KO

  • @wetotheetotheztotheo look who he fought he was great but no where near the goat

  • @messier991102 i dont understand

  • @wetotheetotheztotheo i said he was not the greatest because his competition sucked

  • You have to kind of laugh at the guy counting him out when it's obvious he's gooooone...

  • More like "two punch KO" haha. Nice one Rocky ;)

  • That was a powerful shot

  • hell...im definitely born too late...seeing these ukrainian frankensteins playin chess in the ring is annoying when you see real champions like rocky, ali, frazier and likes. what a disgrace

  • @TheAskazi if the klitschko's were american they would be considered heroes. Like it or not, they are the best in contemporary boxing.

  • @TheAskazi KLITCHKKOS BROTHER BETTER THAN MARCIANO OR MUHAMAD ALI

  • @masterdelrap stfu idiot lol :-) Marciano was billion times better than "champion" Klitchko tfu...

  • @TheAskazi And yes, the Klitschkos are not the most exciting guys to watch. They don't take many chances, and they both have very good jabs which they use a lot. It's boring, but it is effective. Vitali is definitely among the best heavyweights of all time, but he is boring to watch.

  • Some of you people are fucking arse clowns, you CAN'T make acurate comparisons between different generations, that's like saying the Spitfire or the B52 Bomber were shit because the F-16 or the B2 would kick arse, grow up and evolve.

  • @BrenLW evolve, the sport of boxing hasnt evolved and has gotten worse. they are just bigger now, which isnt good because they are much slower and they don have the stamina,by your ideas both klits beat ali and frazier right

  • funny thing is that joe was ahead on all three judges and if they fought today joe would have won by unanimous decision because it would only go untill round 12 just shows that boxing isn't the same as it used to be

  • are you fucking kidding? thats the softest ko punch i have ever seen...jersey joe was old man....you marciano fans must be dreaming...he only fought bums haha...why are you all still living in the 1950s....aint nothing compared to what boxing is now...

  • @RunNdGun84 are you blind? he cut him right in the jaw with that vicious right hand. your head would fall of if that was you, mister.

  • @MyThelema common sense says if you dont guard your chin and it gets caught my a right hook....chances are your head will twist....nothing special.....walcot was twisting his body going for a right hook also......that just made it worse for him and he's an old bum.....rocky was a skillful slugger with an iron jaw....but not the hardest puncher in history....i've seen more brutal kos....get back to earth....

  • @RunNdGun84 i never said he was the hardest puncher, i'm just saying that this is definetly not the softest ko punch, lol.. the guy was laid to fucking rest, enough said

  • @RunNdGun84 Marciano was a heavyweight counter-puncher, he also put his whole body into his right hooks and chopping rights... Counter adds the opponents momentum to yours, watch his fights he almost always punches right as they move toward him. Bigger guys today woulda gotten beat badly by him.

  • I love the little love tap on his way down, Rocky must have known the shit he was talking before the fight. Haha

  • BAM! That was a real concussive blow. His brain just rattled around after the initial shock. Marciano, when he set-up, could deliver one of the hardest punches of anybody then and today. Rugged Son of a Gun!

  • WBC NEVER KEPT ANY PROMISES only SHIFTED BLAME ON OTHERS!IN REALITY RM could have been CHAMP 1952-1957! On jan2 floyd stil beat old mongoos at 21!

  • @mindofaJedi

If Marciano had been given the same opportunities fighters today have as far as a better diet, workout regimen, and equipment,do you still think that he would get "smashed"? It is arrogant for you to have said that comment about a historic fighter such as Marciano, no boxer today would last in the ring with him had they fought in the same time period as Rocky

  • Damn looks like he died

  • Just turn off the fucking audio. Its so damn low it just sounds like some incessant whining ass bee noise in the background.

  • They say the ref coulda counted to 1000 and old Walcott still wouldn't be able to get up.

  • Why was the referee even counting????

  • watching TV in the days before video tape, you could watch the whole fight, then look down to reach for your beer and miss the punch, and there was no replay! You'd have to wait till the newsreel came out the next week to see it. You had to pay attention in those days..

  • feinted with the left jab got him with the straight..BAM!@

  • 1:58

Martin luther king in the backround?

  • @Momokabomo Haha! That does look like him!

  • @LukeAlto2007 Do you know if it was him?

  • @Momokabomo I highly doubt it.

  • @Momokabomo he had a dream that rocky would knock the shit outta that guy theres no way he would have missed that!!

  • Hard as fukin nails!!!

  • marciano took there best shots ,then destroyed them, this was the most ferocious punch ever in boxing history to win a championship,,walcot looked like he was dead...

  • @bathwaterfilms Sugar Ray Robinson killed Jimmy Doyle with a left hook in his championship fight....I would have to say thats a little more feriocious but just my opinion .

  • @bathwaterfilms Walocott was also washed up after 68 previous pro fights and having so many concussions. The punch wasn't that hard really , although it landed perfectly on the chin . Not one of the 400 hardest punches I have seen but more than enough to KO his opponent . It wouldn't have even moved Foreman's head and probably wouldn't KO any of todays giants . Of course Marciano wouldn't even hit most of those guys . At 5ft10.5in with a 67 inch reach couldn't reach todays fighters.

  • didnt have the skill of sugar ray robinson ;) haha still a 49-0 record is still unmatched.

  • its good but what for he hit him second time -already out? thats not nice. or fair

  • The guy at the start looks like Mel gibson

  • The Humility of Marciano was very admirable.

  • ASTONISHING when you realize Marciano was about Shane Mosley's Height (5' 9") and weighed only 195 pounds!

  • the ref counting is just priceless...hes not moving lol

  • LOL! I can't believe the referee counted. Who could not see he was dead?

  • Mob or no mob he is a legend... that punch was strong... i wonder who would win... rocky or george...

  • 1...2...3...4...*hour later* 946...947...948...

  • @11215142615 ROFL!

  • @11215142615 That would be about 15 minutes later....

  • why the ref starts to count i will never know....... look at him.

  • rocky marciano was definetly the greatest boxer that ever lived because he was the only one who retired undefeated all that needs to be said no arguments about it

  • @meskate45 no, he had mob connections. And ali's last three losses was when he was old, and the other 2 was when he just got back to boxing after a nearly 4 year layoff because of vietnam.

  • @carmodifire

once a mob gu went to rocky and wanted to talk him into their rings.

but rocky said you're a disgrace for the italian people, fuck off ( okay except for the fuck off part).

  • @OropherThranduil the more fight, moore could've won, and rocky won a decision that some other guy was supposed to win.

  • @carmodifire

rocky never had any mob connection.

jesus, his bashers really are good at taslking shit.

he didn#t need to cheat, Suzy Q could KTFO of everybody.

  • @meskate45 While Rocky is my favorite fighter, don't tarnish him like that. Floyd Gayweather is undefeated and probably will retire that way because he is scared of Manny Pacquiao.

  • @meskate45 very flawed logic. if he had been fighting in his prime nowadays I dont think he would even win a title.

  • @GodOvEpicness really? ok name 1 boxer other than him that retired undefeated *waits for reply* yeah exactly cant name one huh?

  • @meskate45 Young Mitchell, Jack McAuliffe, Jimmy Barry, Laszlo Papp, Terry Marsh, Ji Won Kim, Ricardo Lopez, Sven Ottke and Joe Calzaghe. Think before you speak ;) Not that marciano retiring undefeated counts for shit anyway, it's well known that he ducked a lot of the top boxers of his day. Also you failed to in any way dismiss my point. Hell, even Audley Harrison would have become world heavyweight champion had he fought in them days.

  • @meskate45 umm Joe calzaghe?...lol Rocky was great...but very protected...fought the 6 big names on his record after 1950 and they had all fought over 20 yrs at the point..he fought a total of 7 yrs. Not taking anything from the champ..he would knock a horse out...at 185 and 5'10. great fighter

  • @meskate45 Joe Calzaghe.....

  • @meskate45 He fought nobodies and he fought his cuzin 6 times under different names........

  • @meskate45 the majority of boxing fans and boxers think ali was the greatest...sir

  • @meskate45 r a idiot so did joe does that make him the best

  • @meskate45 calzhaghe

  • Best right hand punch from the best conditioned fighter who ever lived.Floored for the 1st time....cut...blinded for 4 rounds...behind on all scorecards...does he...like most fighters take the money and run?...nope....he keeps coming...and wins by KO..and becomes the new champ!!!

  • That was fucking badass

  • i dont think he was going to get up by the count of 10

  • @hannes334

    ahahahah

  • Rocky was great, but Gene Tunney was the greatest.

  • @emoran001 There is no such thing as 'greatest'. Everyone has strong and weak points.

  • dude a 175- 192 pound beating much heavier guys and retired undefeated, this guy was a monster.

  • @Estebanfuturo yeah true though he nevere fought really heavy guys

  • at 4:41 Rocky Marciano give all the respect to Walcott was winnin the fight got to love Rocky for that

  • that bum did ko Walcott

  • The ring ropes were the only reason Walcott didn't end up in orbit.

  • Comment removed

  • fake

  • 1:42

  • Just so everybody knows...Tyson, Rocky, nor Ali are the greatest. It's Sugar Ray Robinson and you best believe and do a little research. All the previous 3 mentioned though are definitely the greats but Ray Robinson was something else.

  • @ShotgunDiplomat no such thing as a greatest of all time.... there all greats from different eras
