the inclusion of the beginning of the song is the baby's introduction, and meeting his parents and lady. the line 'we call you baby...' is the sweetest part of the song. I've been looking around for the whole clip, thanks!

I'm glad they edited- that whole "I'm your mother and you have a father" part focuses more on the parents and is disconnected with the rest of the song all about the baby. And some children don't have both parents, that doesn't make them any less of a baby.

Artwork needs to correctly express its meaning. That line puts wrong emphasis on the moment. The main purpose of the song is to define a baby as loved and precious. It having a mom and dad is superfluous.
