Have you ever tried using the ILS? It automatically aligns the plane with the runway and makes the approach. You only have to controll the plane manually shortly before touchdown to get a soft landing (there are some good tutorials in YouTube which show you how to use the ILS).

If you want to controll the plane yourself during the whole approach, you can set up the ILS but not activate it. So you see marks in your PFD which show you how you have to steer the plane.

Actually it's easier without a joystick. Couse on the keyboard you just need one touch on the button to make the plane turn a tiny bit. But it actually ruins your keyboard couse you are pressing the buttons a million times a second

it just comes with practice, one thing i always do is be very soft on the controls so you dont drift to one side of the runway and then the other, also you can tune the ILS on your radio, once you have tuned that, turn on the approach hold switch when you are close to the ILS vectors, eventually the altitude hold button will be turned off by the ILS, and the heading hold, at that time the plane is in complete control of itself, landing bang in the middle of the runway,hope it helps!

@cosminx2003 plenty of practice... you just have to practice getting lined up and make sure you stay lined up. There is an instrument system that helps though, especially is bad weather... check out ILS - INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM

If you want to fly the big airplanes manually it's best to practice in a cessna or some light aircraft. When you think you're qualified to fly on those big ones. Then start with a small 737 or a A319 or something. Don't start on a 747 or a A380 couse it'll take you longer to learn that way.

No it's not, it's obviously a 737-300. You fail if you say that. the A319 has a completely different nose and cockpit window shape, and also the engines are not shaped the same. The flaps and the wings are also different.

Erghh, it's not ATC's job to line you up to the runway... They head you to the Localizer, which then you have to line up using that, or just use Autopilot to grab the Localizer.

Plus there are options to comunicate with ATC to change your Alt...

Nice, but, it kinda got ruined when you let the nose just drop, you have to keep it up to let the plane slow down, and if you didnt do that because it would go back up in the air, then you came in too fast. But, taking everything together, i give it a 3.5 :)

psyfertech your not a pilot are you? all atc does is tell you how to get to the runway and at many airports they dont even tell you when to turn its up to the pilot when visibility is good. Its all up to the pilot to land a plane.

it isnt easy when the atc gives you headings and altitudes, when it comes to getting the plane on the ground its up to you to actually land it, they just give you vectors to line up. :)

Unfortunately FSX does not use at all the second GPU on the card. Either the game is not optimized for multi-gpu solutions or there's a problem with the drivers. I game at 1920x1200 AA and AF on, ultra high settings except water quality and bloom. I'll comment on framerates later since I haven't run a benchmark on the game yet. Thanks for watching!

I heard FSX does not work well with SLI/Crossfire, since that may be true, maybe also does not make use of both gpu core. Have you installed sp1 and sp2?

XP also have some issues with Crossfire/SLI, try it on Vista, may solve the problem. If not, that's FSX problem.
