@mtWHITE100 I've been there, I've been to many places. No one was wielding an axe ready to cut me up whenever I landed at the airport. Have you ever been to Norway? or plan to?
@Shirryon@Shirryon ha! I live in Russia and our TV is the crappiest TV ever...last time I turned my tv on with a purpose was before i've got the Internet..unfortunately it's not the only thing I hate about here...
I've heard we are going to make a Russian version of Dexter..bought the rights on the show and everything..Maybe real Dexter can come and kill fake russian Dexter? Now I whould pay to see that ..
@Shirryon That's not actually true, it's common knowledge that we have the longest history in dubbing, and use among the best actors around. Actors like DiCaprio or Keanu Reeves sound so much better in Italian ahahaha !
I'm spanish, I've seen both, english and spanish version, obviously english is better, but anyways I usually watch it in spanish, I think I'm too lazy to be reading subtitles all the time lol
@h5y I can type and read english with no problems, but understanding the spoken language is harder, sometimes characters speak too quick, or with some noise in the background, etc, I could understand about 70-80% spoken, so I need subtitles to get the 100%
People actually dont realize that when a voice over is done alot of real sound is deleted with its voice as well such as crowd noise or a train in the background and other things. This leaves only the foil sound effects to be added after they dubbed it but its far from the real sound because even the original Dolby effect is reduced
ANY DUBBING sucks! Any series, movie, show or whatever that was made for a language should stay in that language. It's what's called "lost in translation." I'm Dominican, where we speak Spanish, and believe me, I love my language as well as English, but subtitles are made for a reason besides the hearing impaired. Dubbing takes away integrity.

@TheCapitaineCarnage dude, french voice is so much better than it, spanish voice is not even deep like original is ! French Dex does not talk like this sissy
@LowryderKid I feel the same way about Czech TV and czech dubs, but most people here would disagree, they take pride in the quality of the czech voice acting, lol, but it's just shitting on the original work of the actors, etc.
@LowryderKid Definitely, dubs take much away from the overall "QUALITY" of the show. As LowryderKid said, just watch it in subs. I used to watch a lot of anime, so I know a lot of the difference between original audio vs. dubs. Dubs are O.K. but the original is always best.
@b0x3s no, they show it dubbed as in the video, but in Spain a lot of people downloads the chapter and the very next day of showing it in USA we already have subtitules online
I'm English so I've never know any different. Doesn't that bug people that it's not the real actor's voice? I mean, it would be like watching the movie, "The Shining" and not having Jack Nicholson's voice.
@suny123boy1 well it may be weird for north americans and english people since you are used to your language and so original versions, but in the rest part of the world, mostly in europe, we are used to the dubs. it's like you say, Jack Nicholson doesn't have his original voice, but we are used to his dub-er, since every actor has a official dub-er in every country.

@insidethewall how my english has a lot of limitations im going to write the rest on spanish,

I agree. At least in Mexico they use a variety of different voice "actors", unlike Spain.
In Spain where I live, however, people expect to hear stuff with their own accent and generally regard any South or Central American voice with a certain amount of suspicion if not contempt.
I once saw an Argentinian documentary about Machu Picchu and, for Spanish consumption, they had dubbed the Spanish with an Argentinian accent into "Spanish" Spanish!!!
@Nilguiri Wow that must have been pretty awful, and there was no need. @Animalkisser Hehe... Most people from most countries don't speak other languages or speak them badly. Most americans will probably think that french is that canadian invention that goes with fries and that spain is that big thing below their beloved america. Badly spoken languages is something that has more to do with the number of idiots arround than with badly dubbed series.
I hate it when people dub movies and series. Just learn English, it will make movies and series better, and you can communicate with the whole world. I'm Dutch and since I was young I always watched English/American television with subs. Don't dub it! Sub it! New slogan tbh.

@puppylv21 it's not easy to learn another language and some people don't know how to read. Like blind people for example i think it's great that shows are translated
lol When i saw the "spanish" option on my DVD I was like WTF? When i heard it i just couldnt stop laughing. No wonder why in Argentina they sub it instead of using the dubbed voices.
They couldn't find someone with less of a squeaky voice? I speak Spanish~ and yeah, the voice actors skill isn't in question, he's just casted poorly.
I am from Spain too but I can't watch any movie or tv show in spanish, nor in french. It's even worse than listening to a tranny wiht helium; it's more like Peanut, Jeff Dunham's puppet. The only thing that does sound a bit ok in spanish might be Family Guy, and yet it's awful when you compare it to the OV. Luckily now with the D-TV we have the OV option (but not in theaters!!) . And obviously watching it online remains the best solution.
Yo no echo abajo a nadie.
I think the italian voice overs only are really good. If you think that ridley scott in the gladiator changed the line "release the dogs" in "at my signal unleash hell" after italian adjustment said it sounded better with this line, that in italian says "al mio segnale scatenate l'inferno"
I HAAAAAATE voice actors in spanish. They all sound the same and have gay squeeky voices. My voice isn't squeeky. What are they short on translators? I'll take the damn job.
@DawnsAssassin It amazes me how ignorant you are. You haven't even heard about good spanish dubbing. And spanish voice from actors like Clint Eastwood that are even deeper than the original voice.
If it was weird for me to hear him speak with that spanish voice I can only imagine how weird it must have been for him !

Why do all voice actors from Spain sound like big pussies?

I think the italian voice overs only are really good. If you think that ridley scott in the gladiator changed the line "release the dogs" in "at my signal unleash hell" after italian adjustment said it sounded better with this line, that in italian says "al mio segnale scatenate l'inferno"

Michael Hall is like "Do I see plastic in spanish Dexter's future. Yes, yes I do...".

The Italian actor who gives the voice to Dexter is absolutely perfect, quite better than the original. Michael would like it.

What a terrible voice-casting choice. Seriously, at least choose someone with a lower voice, and who doesn't sound like he is sixty.
