the first song is beautiful! It starts out courageous and when it ends you can feel the regret and sadness in the music. Beautiful music. Music with no words I find sometimes can touch the heart more, than with words.

I have to admit, I have always preferred the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice, even though it's much longer. I think that that version is much closer to the spirit of the book. However, I think that the more modern version is a wonderful movie on its own, apart from the book, and I truly love the music in this movie.

i agree all above. i watched the movie especially this version so many times and never have enough. whenever i feel down, things go bad in my life i watch this movie. the music, the landscape, colors... everything is perfect. it sounds like only a love story but it also tells an amazing story of the attachment and love for family. another good movie is sense and sensebility... actually almost every Jane austin book has an amazing story.

i love the 2005 version and the 1995 version for different reasons

2005 - the beauty of the music, cinematography, and the emotions between the characters

1995 - the comedy, building more a relationship with the characters (since it's longer), and a more thorough look at the events from the book.

@dramaqueen465 I so agree with you! I think it's ridiculus the way people are always comparing the two, obviously a movie will be different from a mini-series! I personally love the 1995 series just because it's the one i saw first and the one that made me read the book, but i find some places in the movie almost better, they are just different interpretations of the same book!

The only two things better in this version of Austen's novel rather than in 1995 BBC version, is the Rain/Pavillion scene and Keira Knightley's more fitting age and younger looks while portraying the 21 year old Lizzy. Ehle was a bit too "heavy" to play a 21 year old, but Keira cannot play a witty character, because she cannot be funny. She is pretty much streught forward in this role, which is not at all how Austen descrived Lizzy. The only thing she does better than Ehle is perhaps passion...

A couple of my favorite scenes are when Mr. Darcy hands Elizabeth into the carriage and also when they see each other for the first time at the Lucus's ball and you can just tell he likes her right away.

She's describing different scenes of this movie. The first is when she goes to see her sister, who is sick at Mr. Bingley's. Lizzie is leaving and Darcy helps her on a carriage, and his hand clenches after he touches her. And the other one in which she is referring is Lizzie's run in at his home, when she is visiting with her aunt and uncle. His hand is unclenched. She's saying how these two scenes show how their relationship grew over time. He was no longer uncomfortable the second time.
