  • yes, sometime

  • The plastic cap on mine twists, is that normal?

  • Is it normal that the top of my Shure Sm57 mic twist? It does not fall off, it just twist when you turn it.

  • yes. actually this is one sign that your mic is not a fake. there are in fact many fake 57s and 58s out there so be wary of too good to be true deals.

  • i demand that minute of my life back

  • Yeah, no test to see if it worked though. I bet it didn't. Looked like when Doc Brown was throwing trash into the Mr Fusion reactor.

  • hello,

Im trying to fix my Sm-57... And I got a green and yellow wire.. which should go into the + ? or does it matter?

  • in mine its green to +

  • Thanks dude! I tried it.. it's 1 year ago now :P and it was green to + :D

  • Hi there, i just got an sm57 and with all my curiosity i unscrewed the top part and 2 small red wires fell... i dont see any red wires in yours... is the top section wired to the mid part?

    thanks mate

  • yes, of course. Red wires are between the cap and the mid part. Then there are 2 wires, yellow and green, until the XLR connector.

  • just wondering where did you purchase that microphone?
