i was so lucky i was on a trip when this happened...i used to go to this ghetto school and it is really horrible...In the riot,there was a gang that was shooting up the high school,and some kid got the idea to just get out the high school and fight the gang members,so then everyone else got out and it turned into a riot.lots and lots of pepperspray were involved,and im so glad im out of this school...

over the last couple of years lakewood has gotten worse, but lately it isn't as bad. I believe the middle school generation, and the graduating clsses of 2012 and 2013 will definately help bring lakewood up. All people see is the exterior of lakewood and instantly think it's a horrible school because of what you hear. Honestly it isn't bad at all. Actually, this school has a lot of heart, you just only see the people that act out in a negative say. Try looking on the inside....

Taking prayer out of the schools? I attended LHS 20 years ago. There were no riots or major fights - nothing like this. And no, we did not have prayer in school then, nor did my siblings who attended in the 1970's, nor did my parents who attended in the 1940's. Prayer won't prevent things like this from happening.
