  • Communism removes god to believe in Karl Marx. Capitalism removes humanity to believe in money and personal interests.

  • Christopher Walken at 3:55 !

  • owww our history is so rich)

  • Why are Russians so unhappy? I have never met one who was not angry or rude..

  • @JoyousinJesus Life is tough. Look through Russian history: 1000 y. of misfortune and poverty.

  • @JoyousinJesus If somebody will plunder your country and your house, will you be happy? I talk about Eltsin and his friends (years of 90), not about Putin

  • @JoyousinJesus deep down most are quite nice, its just that they have this ice cold barrier in the beginning due to a tough life.

  • @JoyousinJesus I have, but I live in Sweden, and he is a russian immigrant.... He is probably happy because he lives in Sweden haha

  • @JoyousinJesus You can´t imagine how ukrainians are, I´m ukrainian and being Ukrainian sucks, our country was raped by everyone, we werent a developed country in any moment, sucks, thats why so many ukrainians or russians emigrated

  • @fcbcdl I hate to hear that :c I'm sorry your country has had such a rough history!!

  • Thank you for sharing :)

  • Putin can send a nice missile to strike Obama's bedroom for all I care. This scum shouldve been impeached for Libya, not just the NDAA and SOPA.

  • I am a former citizen of the USSR, and now the citizen of the Russian Federation and I declare that now in the Russian Federation better than it was in the USSR

  • and to people who say life in the US was better: yes it WAS... especially if a country produces 20% of the world goods but consumes 40% so the puncutation is on the word WAS, because now the level will fall by half, and it definately wont be the rich half, so brace yourselves as fun times await us all

  • the world needs balance in the end it is all about the rich and powerfull feeding off the poor and thus stiffling progress since you never know what the one poor guy you just squeeezed the last drop of life out of could have done for the world if he had the chance. Whatever you may say about stalin, but the first thing he did was give access to knowledge (university, schools...) to EVERYONE, FOR FREE, this is a precedentless in all of mankinds history since you stop beeing cattle at that point.

  • Кто сказал Утопия, тот дрянь !

  • да похуй! зато все по честному было!

  • USSR was more like an elder brother or a father figure state for many nations. US was also that way, but it was once upon a time. Now, US is more like a bully. A bi-polar world divided into the western bloc and the soviet bloc was much better.

  • @TheChromelover As an American who well remembers when "everything made sense," when the powers were equal, I have to agree with you.

  • cry

  • Track to this video is very good. What is it?

  • @biachka Seems nobody's reading what is written under the vid... It's God Is An Astronaut - From Dust to The Beyond

  • 0:35 I'll translate this picture

left: In countries of capitalsm: way of talent

Right: In the country of socialism: give the way to talents!

  • What you have got to remember is that the Soviet union fell, due to the increasing tensions that the Kremlin had, with protests in Poland and Czechoslovakia, etc. The logistics of the situation meant that the demands of the people were not met in these countries, and the dissatisfaction of these people. I can see from the list of comments, that many people commiserate the fall of the USSR, and I agree that today's Russia is not of the same caliber as it was, but some of these statements are fal

  • 1917-1991, when the USA was rated #2 military power.

  • Sometimes I'am reading that Ussr was not democratic,it's not true!!Today which country is %100 democratic, usa or england..?You see what happens in wallstreet ,people and police...I live in kapitalist country:((Everything is with money,hospital,school,house,gaz....even water!!You will miss Ussr more and more, but will be very difficult to build it up again.Rich people and their politicians will not give permission..Usa and Gorbi divided you by telling freedom and democracy lies..sorry for USSR:(((

  • Thanks for video:)I'm sad for Ussr, people couldn't understand how great country it was and Gorbi and his friends destroyed it by telling lies!!System was ok,ofcourse there were some problems but every systems have problems, nothing is perfect.Let's look today, which is bigger;Ussr or Russia and the other brothers?Together was stronger ofcourse. That days Ussr was very populer in sports,science,art...but today? Also Yugoslavia was great, but today, many little countries...

  • @Oktyabrskaya1987 Too many time passed, can't remember that. Some LJ account, if my memory serves me well.

  • Посвещено старому Союзу, во имя нового!

  • Person who does not regret the passing of USSR ; Does not have a heart, but if one wants it restored; does not have any brains..... !!!

  • PacKyakPro and you say to me ... I lived in the USSR, and now live in Ukraine, and I really want that to come back when the time was my GREAT COUNTRY "USSR"

  • Perestroika was bad, as it put the economy in a chaotic situation, but glastnost was important and good as it let people speak out against the corrupt managers and officials.

  • @BVargas78 "it let people speak out against the corrupt managers and officials."

Man, you sure? You know whats happens in modern Russia and why ~70-90% want restore all?

Less corruption than USSR times? - Russia laught about it!

Yeh, you can "speak", but what that speeches can change for people? NOTHING!

Blowing air. You can speak about corruption with wall, with same result.

Russia drowned in total corruption, poverty, and crowds of crooks and thieves in gov.

    So back to USSR!

  • @RussiaTrue I'm just making the point that by allowing openness/free speech in ussr it may have helped improve things in the long run. Especially as socialism and the system claimed to be for the good of the people. Free speech allowed it to be put to the test and scrutinised, bad areas highlighted could potentially then be fixed. It was the brehznevite toleration of official corruption that doomed the ussr.

  • @BVargas78 you sure what real freedom and openness here?.... No sure, not sure...

You need live here, for understand whats going on. And look wider.

I understand you, is typical western point of view.

  • @BVargas78 Bastard Gorbachev! Worse than Hitler he was!

  • 2:47 do not touch it, and most importantly .. that no one touched (not steal)

  • @MorrisDes Noone ever thought about stealing something from someone, sometimes people didnt even lock theyre doors at home in ussr cause everyone was friendly

  • Give me back my country! USSR.

  • 1:28 = pepsi cola, lol

  • @keirdullea Now, modern Russia has aprox. 100 the richest men in the world, and yet common Russians are one of the poorest people in Europe. I guess there is needless to say about such things as criminality rate, drugs, slavery, prostitution, discrimionation and xenaphobia etc in modern Russia. Such situation and circumstences are in other former soviet republics either.

  • @ArtemZel "100 the richest men in the world, and yet common Russians are one of the poorest people in Europe" because in soviet people was very corrupt and thieves in naturally. Many people stole from the factories products. And grown thieves.

  • @tver111 @tver111 I think modern Russia and USSR are uncomaparable in bribery. I guess Russian judges, police, other civil servants, even doctors are by far more corrupt than soviets.

  • @ArtemZel "guess Russian judges, police, other civil servants, even doctors are by far more corrupt than soviets" .But in soviet every people steal from factories. I living in town, which is built of stolen bricks. Like I said soviet grown thieves. And now many post-soviet states have this problem.

  • @ArtemZel I agree labour migration is not very good thing. Children grow without parental. now they have psychological problems.

    But.

Do you think steal from factory is good , and is steal from street bad? poor people can steal, but rich can't ?

    stealer is stealer.

  • @keirdullea There were no junkies in USSR, parks were a safe place at night, there weren't any hookers and pimps on the streets of the Soviet Union, medicine and education, including the best unis and high schools, were for free, in USSR, homelessness and unemployment didn't exist, common folk of the Soviet Union didn't even know about racism and xenophobia.

  • @keirdullea without economic perspective? slower pace of life. No bad news in mass media .

    less migration. stronger family values.

In EU. western youth "Tree of life" is rotten

  • @keirdullea Less stress, no depressions.

No narcotic. no Human trafficking. Less brainwash -TV and news paper.

    No perverts (pyderast) parades.

    Better quality food .

    ....

  • 45 people are capitalists

  • name of the composition please?

  • @donau2004 God Is An Astronaut - From Dust to The Beyond

  • @donau2004 thank's

  • The collapse of the Soviet Union, and the breakdown of economic ties which followed, led to a severe economic crisis and catastrophic fall in standards of living in the 1990s in post-Soviet states and the former Eastern Bloc, which was even worse than the great depression. Even before Russia's financial crisis of 1998, and some populations are still poorer as of 2011 than they were in 1989, including Ukraine, Molova, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.

  • The freatest Country in History (with many mistakes but the best)

    Ice Hockeys, Chess, Sputnik...

    India, Russia, China against US-motherfuckers!!

  • I wish the CCCP was still here, something to stand up to the West!

  • Now life is much worse in Russia for poor people - in Soviet times the state did help most people, now housing & prices are too high. Life is hard especially for old people on pensions. Now politicians just steal assets & become rich, whilemost people can't buy the nice things in all the shops.

  • @Izkzmach Agreed wholeheartedly! In the Cold War, we saw huge advances in technology and society. It was through competition between states that we prospered, creating computers, modern engineering and scores of other advances.

Nuclear weapons were never a real threat, their effects far too costly to even consider a launch for heads of state. Both nations were even showing signs of tolerance which could've stabilized into willing peace/cooperation.

    Always remember the USSR.

  • its okay dont be sad Russia is back and its rising but much much stronger - wait and see these coming years but it also involves nuclear warfare.

  • @usy444u Not really :s Putin and Medvedev are screwing it up even more

  • @fcbcdl maybe but its america that is screwing even more so this leaves mother Russia on the upper leverage trust me them Russians aint no joke the way they work is no shortcuts they work on cold hard methods. they are not stupid we saw what they did in Georgia and how fast they squashed the CIA front Georgian army. i have personally seen leaked video of dead afro-American soldier lying in the dirt shot by Russian army.

  • @usy444u I dont believe in Russia anymore, Im ukrainian and i always wanted Russia on the top..but now...

  • @fcbcdl take my word Russia and isreal in the end will be only super powers china will be busy fighting USA with Asian countries and against India the only one that can survive is Russia mainly due to its enormous country and resources and cold hard army and tech. isreal cant control Russia, Russia doesn't bow down and knows the game very well funny thing it was isreal wall street that funded lenin and communism in Russia. watch prof Antony Sutton. in the end it be nukes and dark ages then.

  • @usy444u China and USA fighting? in War or what?

  • @fcbcdl yes see Pakistan look it up on the map it bang in the middle and it joins on to many countries, china relies on it strategic routes to get oil from middle east and plus they have been building gawdor port and USA is trying to break up Pakistan and blow up the port to stop this development so china can be choked. this will be the turning point plus america is bankrupt once the war happens they going to pull the plug on all these countries economy only russia and isreal stay

  • @usy444u But why Israel?

  • @fcbcdl search the world most powerful dynasty own half of the world wealth = the Rothschild. They own isreal they are the money lenders of europe now the world. Arabs revolutions are false it just for greater game so when isreal becomes ruling state of the world it will expand it borders taking all middle eastern oil fields including all Arab water. all this war of terror is bullshit to trick the masses. say bye to money you can touch it rfid chips mate more enslavement.

  • @usy444u where did you hear all that? lol it sounds pretty unreal, and what will happen with EU? also islamisation is a fairytale?

  • @fcbcdl isreal needs to expand it borders to what they believe in greater Israel expansion so they create fake Arab revolutions so in few years down the line say oh look terrorist and bomb the hell out of it and expand and take over all middle eastern oil fields and water and become ruling state of the world. there is no islamification of europe but there has been secular bullshit democracy shoved down Muslim countries. eu is bankrupt that why they raping Libya. its all a game.

  • @usy444u So all that must happen around in 2030?

  • @fcbcdl nope i believe maybe next year target is Pakistan. They already caught one of the CIA raymond davis with nuke material trying to give to one of their al qaeda mercenaries to do false flag but our prime minister is puppet and returned the CIA terrorist in exchange for money, if the CIA got away then USA can say oh look Pakistan been taken over by Taliban we must help then we get invaded and fucked by NATO.

  • @usy444u So making a small resume, Israel will have middle east, Russia a superpower, USA and EU in the shit, China second world power along with india?

  • @fcbcdl USA and china and Asia countries including India at war okay Russia will be on the sideline probably supplying weopens EU might become lead by Germany EU union has collapsed Germany is taking over it all orchestrated by the banks. look search on you tube prof Antony Sutton and the Rothschild. oh the arabs they sitting ducks becuase no advancement in military but they are protected by Pakistan nuclear umbrella once nukes are removed isreal will screw the arabs with some latest weopens.

  • look it all bout the Rothschild this is history that is never shown on tv do you think Europe just one day decides to invade out of the blue or usa it all controlled by the banks through interest and usury they can control nations by placing puppets and agents especially Khazar jews. your Ukrainian have you forgotten about famine of Ukraine who do you think brought communism in Russia overthrowing the czar why would Russia want to be commie when they can be capitalist and be richer than usa.

  • BEST TIMES OF MY LIFE );

  • Пиздец империи....(((((((((((

  • Nice photos, I love learning more about the history of Soviet Union. :)

  • Soviet might be gone (disintegrated) but now Russia is growing to become United States opposition, we need Russia to be the balance of United States power and prevent them to be totalitarian toward the world.

  • Thanks god communism seized to exist, only because the Russians are screwed it doesn't mean others want it back.

  • @mlk22771 Russia today is on the up. It still has issues, as most countries do in the post recession world, but living standards are rising all the time and russians have more freedom than they ever had before.

  • @BVargas78

Sure Russia is on the rise thanks to Gazprom and Lukoil, without them the country would have looked like a lunarscape today.

  • USSR is the best country ever!

fuck'n Gorbachev destoyed our country and Putin is doing his work now..

  • In 1939 the Nazis and their allies of the red army began World War II.

In 1939 the red army attacked Finland under the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact !!!

red army occupied Europe from 1939 to 1989 !!

  • Pepsi-Cola photo is from 90s, right? I see strange see pepsi in soviet union xDD

  • @90Sokol90 the pepsi is from the late 80's perestroika

  • Mighty there was a country, despite dullness of governors come to power after I.V.Stalina's death. So pure, light purpose has been put before the country, solid was the country, so competent was system during lifetime of I.V.Stalina, what even after more floor of a century after his death its internal and external enemies, together or separately couldn't disorganize without shocks this great country.

  • @gigo224 Russia is not political item, but geographical. You can't kill Africa, so don't mind about Russia.

  • 0:13 thats cute. It remind me of when I got my first needle.

  • @4:19 IRONIC

  • @communistjesus what does it mean, and what are the products shown?

  • Comment removed

  • @communistjesus fuck you, die please.

you know nothing about USSR, little european bitch.

  • @MrRussoArt fuck you, die please.<<<<< DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh

  • @communistjesus So who protects peace in your country? Hippies? Your logic is failing, there is nothing of irony here.

  • Были перегибы, стало лучше?

  • At least Soviet Russia gives you 97% free health insurance. Today, you can only get that from Canada.

  • USSR better than EU.

  • It's just shopping-routine photos !

Here is real USSR -- watch?v=QPrV5GJHBpo

  • wow i've been fed propaganda my whole life in how bad the soviet union is. how different they are from us. but it sorta looks the same to me. just a normal average day.

  • @ihusmal1234 It's just a normal place like in USA but there is no poor, no exploitation, no worker out of work, no exploitation of women, no war where people from different cultures lives in peace, where there is real democracy, good free education, excellent free health care and most importantly where happiness means being a proud member of this society. Capitalism should have fallen; the most dreadful disease in human history. Bot we do not despair. Other unions will rise...

  • @TheBlindPowerslave there was abuse and corruption, especially in the southern republics but overall life wasnt too bad in the post stalin soviet union, for most people. The corruption got out of hand under Brehznev however, Andropov made a serious attempt to tackle it, then he conveniently fell ill and died.

  • @BVargas78 Trust me, no one can know better than me the limits of the post-soviet mafias. You would be ashamed of being human if I told you the stories I heard when I was living near the border. They actually managed to destroy one of the most powerful country in history, doing everything they can to undermine the ideology of socialism and they are much more strong now that there is capitalism.

  • @TheBlindPowerslave at least the worst part, the 90's is over. Russia is improving, most russians seem content. The Soviet Union however always fascinates me, a great tragedy was that it didnt meet its democratic potential. In the name of internationalism, it went on impossible foreign wars, wasting billions that should have gone to improve the lot of the people. Yet i remain sympathetic, Kruschev was a good leader in my eyes. And Andropov, and Gorbachev (though he screwed up, he meant well).

  • @BVargas78 Don't expect me to like Gorbachov. History will never forgive him. I hope that things improve for Russia though. Putin is a strong leader. He will make it better I hope.

  • Пора бы наверное понять, что коммунизм в полной мере не вернется скорее всего никогда. В Америке тоже есть коммунистическая партия, и что с того?

  • Мертвой утопии? ты путинист чтоли?

  • I find the Soviet Union to be a fascinating and interesting country. I would like to know other people's childhood from USSR. Born in 1987 in Solomon Islands I was 4 when it ended and one of my earliest memories was when I was 4.

Is there anyone around my age who could remember their childhood in USSR?

  • Comment removed

  • Wow this was great! This country always fascinated me, esp growing up during the end of the cold war, the last generation to experience and remember the era ( I am 34 now and was starting high school when the USSR ended). What amazes me, is that so many of these pictures look like they could be in the USA, UK, or any other western country. And others look like Pyongyang. In 73 years of existence, the USSR couldnt figure itself out. 20 years after USSR, Russia is struggling with the same questions

  • Unfortunately the Russian mafia controls a large part of the economy. It's pretty sad. I liked when Russia had very good Olympic athletes and had a great gymnastics schools and such. Russia then and now. I liked how it was then. After Stalin. Stalin was not the greatest leader of that Nation. Lenin did all he could until his death. Stalin ruined everything. Krushchev tried to pick up where Lenin left off.

  • Beautiful. Utterly poignant. For all the diatribes, for and against, nuanced and not, this video reinforces a point we seem to forget: millions of people called the USSR home from cradle to grave. For all the Jan Palacks, most just wanted to lead their lives. Buy bread. Clock into work. Ride the metro for a date. Listen to radio programming. Share some vodka. And they did. As absurd as things got, they must have seemed strikingly normal to the men and women there.

  • I wish i was born here. and it never falls

  • I´ll miss the USSR 4 ever ¡

  • CCCP

  • Kruschev was moving things in a good direction, shame that Brehznev ushered in the era of big corruption and costly, fruitless military campaigns in africa and asia. That money and the resources should have gone toward further improving the life of the civilians and the infrastructure which was left do decay.

  • Like! Greetings from Hungary

  • The Icecream was good.

  • What is the man at 2:10 doing?

  • Yes .., СССР. I have something to remember ..... endless queues and demonstrations

  • i miss CCCP

  • at 2:10 what is that thing on the guys back?

  • i don`t know why but you`ve done it with love to Russia.. i mean with love love to past time of Russia.. thanks..

  • @wolldem Thank you for this kind comment. I don't know about love; maybe it's just that sometimes we all - ex-Soviet citizens, I mean - feel a bit lonely without a country that can protect us.

  • @DoomerSiC I have heard this comment from older people but never from the younger set!

  • @alanheath We're living in a world of post-modernism. Age means nothing. Welcome to the reality! ;-)

  • @DoomerSiC damn right,I'm a 16 yr old socialist from Malta and I love USSR and it's history so much <3.

  • @DoomerSiC Yes, with americo-european love to Russia as to sweet hamburger. It is not utopy, it was real life, we now live in utopy

  • @DoomerSiC sorry for my question. i'm from young and corrupt Russia, not Soviet Union, can't write to you in pm.

are you really from USSR? how it was? how did you get in Canada? do you want to back The Soviet Union?

  • @alanheath You wouldn't believe the number of people I know who would have died to make their familiy live in a country like the USSR.

  • to all chechen comrades please remember we builted our great soviet union together to a superpowercountry all russian soldiers who killed federate citizens (I mean chechens too) are not better like the germans and this is going to all chechens who killed federate citizens are not better like the germans we are all from the same sovietunion not from russia I hate russia it is not my country the sovietunion is the country of all great soviet people every criminal subject belongs to the GULAG da

  • go to hell every country has his problems of course but the soviet rubel was more choosen as your fucking dollar. remember 1989 1 rubel = 1,64 $ hahhaa so our communist economy was better as your fucking imperialistic economy has been never ever SLAVA CCCP not the system did collapse no the people was poisened by the nato and his dirty propaganda with prostitutes, drugs, power our people are and will still clean not like yours please all comrades replay me back spasibo and thank you for reading

  • @DoomerSiC so wait, hating a people who murder little boys a butcher their bodies makes me rightwinged?

  • @ARussianHat Omg, no. Just beat it, dude, okay? I don't like murderers, killers or other scum either; and you're free to think whatever you want to think (as I do exactly the same). I just wanted to point you that you're not right calling me a "rightwinger". Ok for you that way?

  • sorry, i have to dislike this video because the creator is a close minded rightwinger

  • @ARussianHat Well, you tell us that "chechens are gods" - and after that you call me a "rightwinger"? Pardon me, that's stupid... ;)

  • @ARussianHat @ARussianHat Well, you tell us "chechens are dogs" and after that you call me a "righwinger"? Pardon me, that's a bit strange...

And to dislike communism doesn't mean right wing political beliefs.

  • @DoomerSiC Absolutely right. The inability of the looney left and looney right to distinguish between lack of bias and support for their opposition amazes me. I think the film is very fair and well done - it was very interesting to watch too.

A pity these communists don't immigrate to North Korea so that they can live in their dream world!

  • @alanheath You get two types of commie you know, those who like Stalin and those who don't like Stalin. Only the Stalin fans would like North Korea.

  • @BVargas78 That is going to be difficult - where can the non Stalin fans go?

  • @alanheath Probably Belarus, nominally its a parliamentary democracy now but in reality the system has changed very little since the end of the soviet union, it's still largely a command economy with things like a free press being highly restricted.

  • @ARussianHat And whats wrong with that??

  • @Jason66601 Sorry to break it to ya, asshole, but your mother fucking USSR has been dead for 20 years.

  • ДА щас москали хуже янки стали...

    Предатель хуже чем враг
