  • Lefty! Lefty disc golfers unite! Nice shootin'!

  • Go lefty Go lefty

  • are you origionally righty or lefty

  • Righty but I found I could throw lefty a couple of years ago.

  • nice putting man ! you make it look so easy :)

  • Putt like you wlak or drive a car do it in auto, no manual thought.

  • "Oh the chasity belt!" LOLOL

  • As it is commonly called by most Disc Golfers. Like a chasity belt you are not getting past that yellow band.

  • I would kill myself on a gravel tee box I think.

  • They are not bad a t all. My first year playing I fell off of some cememtn tees that had the dirt in front of the tee eroded after years of use.

  • CUBBY IS THE MAN!! Too solid, too raw. Too legit to quit

  • Thanks!!!!!!!

  • hey cubby are you the voice in the beginning of all the disc golf monthly videos. Thats awesome your like the movie preview guy.

  • this guys putting is automatic- ridiculous

  • Charles, Thats the key, letting your putting be automatic like walking is.

  • great video cuuby! you are very talented, keep on trucking! have you thought about saying what disc you use for each shot, to help people get an idea about how to choose a disc for a certain shot

  • Good idea! I will incorporate that in future videos of full rounds.

  • cubby makes disc golf look easy...righty-lefty- any way you throw it he has amazing control.

  • Thaks for your kind words!

  • That first putt was really nice. I need to make putts like those lol.. Also I noticed you throw both left and right handed, does that come natural to you or did you have to teach yourself? I have trouble with my backhand shot =/ I usually have to stick to forehand.

  • Thanks! My first year playing someone got me to throw a round lefty and I swore I'd never try that again. After play for many years I came up on a hole that I could only throw lefty so I tried it and did well. So that was the start of my lefty throwing. I thionk about DG so much I was able to just flip the switch in my mind and throw lefty.

  • 0.49 get it.... BAM! haha

  • Thanks! :)

  • live and go to school in great meadows pretty nice right

  • If I lived there, I would be happy to call it my home course.

  • A little unorthodox form, but very impressive. On average, how far do you drive, and when you deuced the 7th hole, what was the drive? Thanks for the vid, it was fun to watch.

  • Thanks! Yeah I actually have a reversed cross step when throwing righty. Glad you enjoyed the video. Not sure on Hole 7's throw.

  • Man, you need to make some putting videos to go along with the ace ones. It seemed like anything inside of 40 feet was money. Awesome videos, enjoy watching them every time. Keep it up.

  • Thanks for your kind words!

  • are you a pro? your videos are sick!

  • I currently play at the Am Grandmaster level, I keep my AM status in hopes of playing in the Am worlds again someday

  • cubby, did you realize that after the first three holes you didn't need to annouce that you were teeing off, since there was no gallery?

  • I like to hear myself talk ;) Did you forget my internet gallery?

  • Thanks! I ude an Omega Super Soft Putter.

  • Thi s comment was posted by reeder1920: cubby is da motha ******* boss. It was edited for language not suitable for younger folks.

  • Cubby I love your videos but I think that you should start saying what the par is on each hole

  • I'll try to do that in future videos I taje of full rounds.

  • cubby, what do you use on an average 350 par 4ish hole?im left handed and just can't find the right driver that is a versital one also...

  • I throw righty and lefty. Depends on the wind conditions for me, but I like throwing: Beast, Boss, Destoryer, FLX Surge. Staying out of trouble is the key and keeping it in the fairway for a clear next shot which sometimes means giving up some distance.

  • cbby, how did you get your mid range game so good, and what discs do you use for driving and midrange?

  • I play often and think about playing when I am not on the course. I used to use very overstable discs for my midrange shots sometimes using a skip shot. Now I sometimes use my Discraft FLX Buzzz for mid range shots.

  • Cubby, I enjoy playing Ultimate and just throwing a regulation 175-180 gram disc. I have tried disc golf a couple times here outside Chicago. Have you ever heard of people playing disc golf using just one-size disc? I guess a simplified version of disc golf?

  • Very nice video. Entertaining to watch!

  • Thanks!

  • it depends on the course.... alot of time disc golf course are on state or county parks and you have to pay to get into the park... and if you do wish to go to some of the "higher end" course a 2-4 dollar charge might also incur

  • Just a question, is Disc Golf free to play on a course, or is there actually a place to pay. I know the discs are not free.. lol

  • wow left and right amazing....hey cubby i cannot shooot straight..how do i ...is there any way to hold the disc

  • There are a number of factors with respect to throwing straight. Some discs fly stragter than others. Other factors are angle of release and speed of flight. Sometimes the trick is putting all those factors together to fool the disc in flying straight of as long as possible until it fades out.

  • Just thought id let you know that you are one of my disc golf idols lol. Anyways, i would like to know if you have any putting suggestions. I see that you do not take any practice swings, i might try it out, but i have a hard time keeping accuracy and power to get to the basket. My line is usually go though... I would also like to know where you get your discs because i live on the east coast and it takes forever to get discs when ordered online at any stores i know of!

  • i played for the first time today, such a sweet sport, and cheap

  • Congrats on your first time out playing Disc Golf! It is a great sport and so much fun.

  • Do you alternate throwing between your left and right hands?

  • I usually throw right hand back hand unless the shot calls for a left hand back hand shot.

  • wat is your favorite disc mine is my soft putter then i also have a raging inferno made by quest which i like

  • Lots of DIscs I like, I love my Omega SS Putter and my Flex Buzzz. A Firebird is my favorite driver.

  • you are amazing at disc golf

  • It's all about your passion for the sport.

  • you are the best disc golf player i'v ever seen

  • Thanks! But you should see me on my bad days :)

  • you are the best disc golf player i'v ever seen i am looking up to you i wish i could have your signature on my discs

  • How long did it take you to learn to throw both left/right handed

  • By chance I found that I could throw lefty in 2006.

  • lol, you are amazing! Do you ever try to throw the forhand? do you have any tips on throwing accurately with a backhand?

  • I can throw forehand but it's not pretty. My tips for backhand are throw low and hard.. Keep your right shoulder lower than your left shoulder (righty back hand)

  • Hey Cub I would love to throw a round with you if you ever make it out to Colorado!

  • That would be great! Too bad I can't travel with my job. If you ever make it out ot New jersey give me a shout.

  • First of all, really sweet video, you should do more walkthroughs like that, it gives a really good feel of the course and we get to watch you make ridiculous shots.

Second of all, how long did it take you to learn to throw with both hands? I just use forehand and backhand to get the desired curves, but your method seems far more effective!

  • You should totally do a "tips" video!!! You should also think of yourself as a BADASS!!!

  • A tips video would be cool. The most important tips though are mental. I have a link on my blog that refers to the mental tips that I use. On my blog the link is called "My secret to playing better disc golf".

  • Very cool, but did you miss hole 15? That is one of the hardest on the course. Also, it looks like you were playing the short tees?

  • Looks like I did miss hole 15. Was that the one that you throw down hill with a big dogleg left? I remember that hole when the course was a nice hole. Can't beleive I missed it.

  • Do you have any tips on how to throw a putt? I see you use a lot of wrist action and your disc fly's really strait. I seem to be having the problem of floating any putts over 30 feet long.

  • Cubby you are the best! I can't believe how good you are. I play about three times a week and I am happy with making a 50 footer a day, but you seem to make every 50 footer you see... How far is your max drive?

  • Thanks for you kind words, I really don't think of myself as a good player just a very passionate one. I can throw over 300, really far if over a cliff :)

  • You are the greatest example of an AM disc golfer!!! Way to go Cubby!!!

  • Thanks for your kind words.

  • Nice round Cubby

  • Thanks!

  • hey cubby I have noticed that you are not only good at Aces. You ROCK at putting! how did you get so good and what kind of putter do you use? I use a 170g Pro Rhyno

  • When you go for the Ace you have to learn how to make the Ace if you blow by on your drive. I use an Omega SS 164 grams.

  • bee you tee full

  • Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Very Nice Cubby!!!

  • Thanks!

  • So much work to make this vid. Good Job!

  • A labor of love. Glad to share it with fellow Disc Golfers.

  • you should go pro!

  • I don't throw long enough off the tee and with my job Recreational play is about all I can do, I stay AM for a reason, hoping to get back into playing in the worlds again, but can't in my current job.

  • whats your longest ace cubby?

  • just over 300 feet. They are all long as I throw with full power everytime, I swing shots wide, skip thim or throw s hots. I seldom throw in a straight line to the target.

  • So what was your final score at the end??

  • Good question. I played everything as a par three. I did not add up the score watching the video but my putting has been awesome as of late.

  • Wow that is awesome that you can throw with both of your arms! That must be hard to learn

  • As luck would have it I found out I could throw lefty a couple of years ago. THat's what happens when all you think about is Disc Golf.

  • Very nicely framed, this video.

How often do you use the forehand/Tomahawk and such?
