Song of the Lioness Cast

This is a REALLY good cast. I don't think doing the movies would be hard. They could have a young Alanna for half the first movie, and then do one of those transitions while in a fight scene to an older Alanna and older Jonathan. The first book could become a good movie very easily, there's plenty in it, but not too much.

Argh, this NEEDS to be a movie! But it needs to be done WELL.

@brigantiagirl yeah, looking back on my casting(I made this after the first time I read the book) I would change many things up... make it more modern...

I think they should try it and just have one actor. Makeup and editing are pretty good these days. I think they should try it as a pilot and see what happens. People would understand and it would be pretty neat. Or they could do the beginning as a flashback and use a younger actor for that and then use the older actress when it comes time. U think that could work?

@Gynger64 I think the most difficult part is that the first and second books span 8 years, and they can't really make an actor mature in that amount of time. So they would either have to cut off the beginning years, probably cutting off the first book totally, or start at the Black City or something. Or start from the beginning and hire three actors for each role, one pre-teen, one 14 year old, and then one 18 year old, or something like that. Being a person who likes books more than movies..

I like it but I just can't see Alyson stoner as Alanna. It just doesnt work in my mind. I guess she just seems to girly to me. I know she's a big tomboy but her features just.... Idk, I'll stop rambling now. good job!

@Gynger64 Lol, it's okay. I made this such a long time ago(almost two years ago O.o) that I can't really see any of the people I put in(except maybe Chris Pine as Raoul) in a Song of the Lioness movie. But then again, after taking Broadcasting for two years I've come to realize it would be probably the most difficult movie to pull off.

@leelee283 I saw him more as 50 when I read the book. And now, almost a year later, I think a better sir myles would be Pierce Brosnan or Jude Law.

I'm so glad you picked people the right ages! So many people were picking young actors for Coram and the Duke. And I def. agree with Duke Roger-when I saw Ella Enchanted I couldn't help but always think of him as Duke Roger!
