"thanks" could be arigatou (with or without ending u, doesn't matter) or doumo, but both are more informal than kansha, it's like Miku is showing more respect with her words....it's like "watashi" and "boku" or "ore", all of those words means I, but it goes from most respectful to least respectful (or more informal)

or you could just use the macron and it would be "arigatō" ... correct me if I'm wrong @.@

@alcexhimvideo you're correct about that, but in the case of "arigato" you have the option between writing "arigato" or "arigatou", both are correct...(but not all words are like that, like "touhou" or "hitsuyou", you can't exclude the ending "u" there)...some words in japanese are like that, for example, you can say "Watashi" or "Watakushi" and both have the same meaning...it's like a variation of the same word ^^

I've never seen the first-person pronoun spelled "watakushi" though... and I assume "touhou" can also be written "tōhō" and "hitsuyou" can be written "hitsuyō" ?

remember: when translating songs, specially in japanese, there isn't a correct translation for a music...sometimes that language uses some structure that doesn't exist in english

in japanese (imo) this becomes even worst since in some phrases there's no subject for a verb and there's no particular difference between present tense and future tense, so it's complicated =s
