P.S - I think this trailer was part of the reason the movie flopped. All it does is showcase the more cheesy one-liners in the film and doesn't introduce the characters in anyway. It makes it look like just another crappy sci-fi blockbuster, which it most certainly was not.
Am I the only person ok with not getting a sequal? I thought the movie was amazing, right up there with starwars, and it added AMAZING closure to the series for me, I could live without a sequal, and it might fuck up the series
@daANIMALIannone I think you're right. Fox is the one who screwed them over in the first place. For one thing they claimed that the pilot episode was not "exciting" enough (read: not enough things blew up) to attract an audience. So they moved the pilot into the middle of the season, completely re-arranged several other key episodes, and then omitted some completely. It was to the point where the "previously" recaps at the beginning of each show were for episodes that hadn't even aired yet.
I don't even live in America, But all the tv-shows/movies they got here are American wich I don't mind at all since Americans know good entertainement, but seriously why the fuck did Fox cancel this? Same thing With Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles, it is much better then Dollhouse but it got canned, WTF?
I dont know weather its bcus I never watched the series (prob is lol), but I have 2 say I think this film is simply a average, mediocre sci-fi adventure. Ive literally got it on ITV4 right now, and hav tried 2 stick with it for like a hr now, but Its just slow, doesnt draw me in, and I dont even think the characters r very funny or interesting at all. I personally loved Firefly, but I also love Chuck, and Castle..... so I wouldn't necessarily say that if I could go into the past I would make it so they didn't cancel this series, but I wish it would have gone on for more then one season all the same.
I hear Whedon automatically gets the rights back in 2012. And Nathan Fillion has very recently stated on multiple occasions that he plays the lottery everytime it's over 100 million with the intention of using that money to revive Firefly. For some reason theres been a pretty big groundswell of support for the series to come back, probably due to the upcoming tenth anniversary. Don't give up hope Browncoats, this isn't the Battle of Serenity Valley we're fighting. It can still come back.

Serenity had great reviews, the critics and most of the people who saw it loved it, sadly enough, not a lot of people did see it :(
I loved this movie! Amazing cast/characters and great story.
They had such a low budget to make this movie and it still looked better than some huge blockbusters made with much more money.

I personally loved Firefly, but I also love Chuck, and Castle..... so I wouldn't necessarily say that if I could go into the past I would make it so they didn't cancel this series, but I wish it would have gone on for more then one season all the same.

I hear Whedon automatically gets the rights back in 2012. And Nathan Fillion has very recently stated on multiple occasions that he plays the lottery everytime it's over 100 million with the intention of using that money to revive Firefly. For some reason theres been a pretty big groundswell of support for the series to come back, probably due to the upcoming tenth anniversary. Don't give up hope Browncoats, this isn't the Battle of Serenity Valley we're fighting. It can still come back.
