In the bible, it does say that being a homosexual is a sin. However, who are we to say being homosexual or bisexual is a worse sin than murdering or adultery? We cannot say it is worse. Sin is everywhere, and the Westboro Baptist Church is making religious people look bad.

However, the word 'Abomination' did not mean the same thing as it does today. Today it means something along the lines of evil or filled with the devil. When the Bible was written, it referred to something that didnt follow the Social Norms, Traditions, or Customs of the area. So really it doesnt say its a sin.

Atheism is no more liberation than Christianity. The rules of common society are basically the same morals Christians try and follow. We'd like to be more, however, not all of us can be what you probably view as a Christian. A holy man, bound by his God from doing much. The Christian belief is that God gave us free will, so we could do what we want. We could defy him, or follow him. However, following him doesn't necessarily mean becoming a drone. How much do you know about Christianity exactly?

I agree with you on some points, but I believe you are mistaken in others. Regarding who decides which beliefs tarnish the Christian name, I have not decided for the mass public. I have only decided that I believe the WBC tarnishes our name. I believe so because many Christians are criticized for being anti-homosexual, and the WBC only adds to this stereotype.
