I became friends with Glenn while he was performing at the Pacific Beach Hotel in 1981
I was heartick to hear he had suufered a stroke and would really appreciate if anyone could update me on how he is doing. I lost contact with with him over the years and for whatever reason I was drawn to this site and hearing this about Glenn has really been uosetting so if anyone knows anything please let me know!!!
My husband and I met Glenn at Paddlers on Moloka'i. He was there with his veteran friends for some live music by "Poi, Steve & Two Cupcakes" (I'm not sure I got that name right). Anyway, they are like brothers to him, and he seems to be doing well. Still slowly relearning how to make music, but hopeful that it will all come back.
After 20 yrs I returned to the islands. It was empty not being able to see Glenn performing LIVE. He is one of the great talents Hawaii has to offer. I think of you often...Coco
I am so happy to see this video of Glen Pinho, I remember hearing this song before. My mother is Cecelia (Roback) Park, and she always talk about the good ole days babysitting Glen. She said, Glen taught her how to drive a car, hee. Such good memories! We hope you are doing well? Take care, god bless you and much love from all of us in Hana! Pat & Lehua Cosma Ohana and The Andrew & Cece Park Ohana.
I am soooo glad you remember Glenn, He was and is such a dear friend of mine and I have lost touch. I heard he was not doing good and moved to the Marshall Islands with his brother. If you know anything or anyway to get in touch with Glenn I would be forever grateful. I have his email but is not good anymore. I met Glenn over 15 years ago in Hawaii and put this video together for him and this was the only way he could see it by posting it on YouTube. Aloha and all my best.
Mike if you get this email me back and I will get you in contact with the Pinhos. Yes Glenn is at his brother Kirtleys in Majuro recovering from a stroke. I have Kirts info and my sister is going to see them in a couple of weeks.

Glenn is my older brother. I will never forget how awesome it was to hear him sing this at my house on the lake in Minnesota.
