Look, autobahn is a common name for such a roads. Doesn't matter if it's highway, motorway, autostrada or автомагистраль.

@makar126 not really. автомагистраль are not the same. I mean russian, belarussian, ukrainian so called автомагистрал are rular 2 lanes roads with pedestrian crossings and crossroads. In Poland we have such a roads (mostly built in communist times) but we do not call them niether highway and expresway. They're just rular roads with speed limit of 100kph.

@MikeTheProfessional This is road is not located in Russia, Ukraine or Belorussia. That's in Poland. And road signs are definitely telling A4 is an Autobahn, or Motorway, or Highway or whatever else with a speed limit of 130km/h, barriers and all necessary infrastructure. There're no pedestrian crossings or crossroads on it.

I notice a speed limit sign of 110, but it looked as you were going more like 180-200 km/h, but this seemed to also be the flow of traffic, I take it you dont have to worry much about autobahnpolizei in this area?

it was not that fast - something like 150-160 km/h

normally Polish police is not checking autobahns very strictly, so you can overspeed a bit ;)

I'm normally using A2 with bordercrossing in Swiecko / Frankfurt-Oder.

But you're absolutely right, the first 200km to Breslau is not Autobahn. I titled this video just to give an idea about direction.

Ich fahre jeden Sommer nach Polen, genau die Strecke! Und nach der Grenze bei Görlitz gibt es zunächst Landstraße! Erst ~200 Kilometer vor Breslau fängt die an!

hat sich ja jetzt geändert ;) die A4 geht jetzt komplett von der Grenze runter nach Krakau :)

200 Kilometer warens auch nicht, soviel warens von der Grenze nach Breslau...waren vllt gut 150km... Aber jetzt kann man gut und gerne 1-1,5 Stunden sparen, dank Direktverbindung
