I have a cat that's practically a twin to this one. The fetching is puely instinctive.. no training required. It seems fetching cats have a lot of Bengal characteristics. It's a breed recognized in the U.S., but not in Europe. However, it doesn't appear anyone here has the literary capacity to understand my comments anyway.

Not all of them and not entirely anyway. They perceive it as a danger (you can drawn in it) but the reason they don't like to be "wet" is because that is messing up their thermal regulation system... which is not based on transpiration like our.

I read a touching book about a stray cat that did this for a lady who fed her when I was a kid. It was an interesting (true) story. The stray left for a long time, but eventually came back dying with a kitten during the winter and left the kitten with the lady and died a month or so later. The lady raised the cat and it played catch too. Does anybody happen to know the name of that story? I've forgotten... :\
