It's hard to explain, since you haven't played the game, but pretty much, Roxas is Sora's 'other half'. I recommend reading Sora and Roxas' character profiles or whatever on wikipedia. Maybe the story/plot on wikipedia, also. That should clear a lot up for you. I definitely recommend playing KH1 and KH2 ^_^
