  • since there's two ways of presenting numbers in korean can i say that im 이십 years old instead of 스물?

  • great videos upload some more !!!!!

  • I've also seen Nice to meet you as 'Choum Bekke Sumnida', which one is right? And if they are both right, which one is more formal?

  • PLEASE DO MOREEEEE PLEASEEE

  • I really like how you teach Korean. Thank you for posting this video. [:

  • Good job!

  • very usefull, lets learn .. :p

  • ur english is soooo cute !!

  • AWESOME!

  • Is Japanese easier?

  • @0099ddaavviidd learning any language is challenging at first. I would say Korean is easier because they have less letters in Hangul, while Japanese uses Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana. I learned a few useful phrases & words in Japanese & I'm taking a little break to learn Korean

  • @0099ddaavviidd I think it is. But that's just my opinion.

  • fantastic job! :D

  • please continue uploading :D plzzzzzzzz

  • 만나서 = man na su

    ㅁ=M+ㅏ=A + ㄴ=N (만)

    ㄴ=N + ㅏ=A (나)

    ㅅ=S + ㅓ=U (서)

    만나다 = MEET , 만나서 = 만나다+그래서 MEET SO~

    A=아 E=에 I=이 O=오 U=우,어

  • thankyou this was very helpfull, when i walked in salzburg i said to some asian Annyeong haseyo just to look if that person would understand me , and guess what the whole group started greeting me and sort off like bowing. i really like asians (:

    and i think korean language& pronunciation is so beautifull ;d

    xfrom holland (:

  • How would you say "because you make me smile"? Neomu neomu kamsahamnida!!

  • YOU'RE ACCENT IS SWEET :D :PP

  • shaa shaa teneg lalaruud gaigui hicheel oruulaach ogzognuudee mu solongos ynhanuu

  • hahah why it gotta be that long ok nice tho

  • Thank you

  • so glad i found something like this ^_^, I've been wanting to learn korean for a long time, because I think it's a beautiful language. the bad part is I dont' know anyone that speaks it, so I have to find my own way of practicing and all. I really need to find someone I can talk to in korean to practice. but whatever.

  • @MegaJrockfan it means 'Iove you' :)

  • Please help me! What does 'saranghae' mean??

  • Thank you! This was very helpful! :D

  • @ThePoodle921 The first is informal and the other is formal.

  • why there's a circle at the top of YO? that circle means NG right

  • @punkyGurl12 If the circle is first, it's silent. If it's the ending of a block it's the ng sound.

  • Thank you John for this video. Gam za ham nidae!

  • If you want to hear other good melodic catchy korean songs,

    you could find them by copying and searching 박인희, 김광석, jaurim, 조용필,

    송창식, 부활, 산울림, Korean traditional trot, 보리밭, 그리운 금강산 and so on...

    Make sure search one by one.

  • r u Korean ??? the accent it's really good!!! congrats

  • Thank you this is very helpful (:

  • Oh John! I loved your video so much I even subscribed.

  • This is GREAT ;D But, when i looked up how to say 'Nice to meet you' on Google translate, it said something way different than what you said? :[

  • @WeIrDGirlProduction there are many different ways of saying nice to meet you, google only gave you one of them. if you were to type this in korean and translate it to english, you will get the same results so don't worry about it!

  • @AgeOfZombies Okay *phew* What a releif...Thank you ^-^

  • Oh good I'm twenty I can tell people my age now! :)

  • I loved your teaching! I need to see how to say to learn. And you tell very slowly! It is awesome! I'm following your channel! Congratulations! =)

  • sweet english ^^

  • nice. i appreciate your effort. romanised form makes it easier for me. - cos I don't know What I am suppose to say just from listening to a teacher.

  • You did a nice job. You are more brave than me. I am just learning Korean!

  • thanks..you make me smile ~ ^^ thoose lesson is really meaningful...

  • Is it just me or does the Hungul alphabet make alot more sense than English one?

  • @thatcrazyblondchick it's not just you. Korean letters were developed by King Sejong in 1600's because he saw that common civilians needed to learn how to read also. Korean was made so that some of the vowels and consonants match the shape of the mouth as you are saying it, and in Korea, kids start learning their alphabets from age 1-2 and can read books and write a basic journal before they enter elementary school

  • holy cow thats hard. :(

  • @JNbffL for Korean it's always better to learn how to read it and then learn the individual sentences and vocabs... makes your life much easier since romanization isn't very accurate

  • Your voice is so cute~

  • ur voice is boring but im learing alot i sub thnx

  • fk i cant do it my fav country is korean but i cant learn korean toooooo hard i can hardly remember a word

  • thank you:)

  • I'm 20 too! HA! This is going to be a useful expression. . . until I turn 21 ._.

  • this is awesome T_T thank you so much

  • Hi John! Thank You Soo Very Much for making Korean so much easier to learn! Plain and simple,that's the way my man!!!.

  • I like that you have an accent. It helps my pronunciation in Korean!

  • hey!! your english was pretty good!!! :)

  • i was learning tang soo do and from there i learn some korean but i wish to know more...nice language and martial arts!멋진 언어! 그리스 출신의 인사

  • he he. John! you sound handsome..he he..this is an old vid..so you are probably fluent in english now...be more confident..fighting!

    personally, i think Mandarin is harder to learn, and their accent is very hard. While Japanese is easier to learn because their words are composed of syllables..ka, da, ga, ma...that are easier to pronounce they don't have example jjeongmal..

    But Korean sounds the cutest!

    Koreans are so lucky to have such a cute language. hu hu...i really want to become fluent!

  • taankyou so much! it's a little difficult to pronounce but you helped a lot!

  • Oh that's really great! I loved it.

  • Your vioce sounds familiar... But anyways thank you so much! Much appreciated ^^

  • thankyou :)

    you are very good at teaching :):):)

  • Gamsahamnida :D

    Though you're pronounciation isn't very good I understood everything.

    Thank you so much ^^

  • Dont worry my english is bad hahah im not american tho!

  • um how do you say 11,12,13,14,15, and,17?!!

  • thank you!i just wanna ask a question..what is the korean name for luzvie

  • LOL FOB MUCH BUT AWESOME

  • Thank you so much! very helpful!

  • Kamsamnida !! This is very helpful :D

  • very nice

  • i like your teaching.......i want to learn it......thanks very much

    cocofish04 from Malaysia

  • thanks...gamsahamida:D

  • is korean a hard language for the average english speaker to learn?? like mee?really how easy should this be?

  • @msvampy89 southern california XD im filipino though~

  • @msvampy89 really?... eh i think it's just the pronunciation is the biggest problem for me XP

  • what about "i am 22 years old?"

  • @ispeak4detrees

    저는 22살이에요. (jeo nun su mul du sal i e yo)<-Formal form.

    난 22살이야.(nan su mul du sal i ya) <- Informal form.

  • @WithDS Okay thanks =D

  • John, you are adorable :)

  • How do you get that for "20"? It's either "Ee-shib", or "Too-Yull" - where is the 20 in that?

  • No web camera is good: your videos load faster.

  • Oh dear... I learned japanese... and korean looks a lot harder x.x i guess i just gotta get used to everything like i did in japanese. i'll find more clues to this language on the way X3

  • Gamsahabnida.:')

    I love your English John!

  • Your accent is not that bad considering you have a strong Korean accent :) I'm African and people can't even tell that I'm from Africa. Because I'm 1/2 Japanese and my accent is kind of American too :) the video is really good and I'm gonna watch your other videos :D

  • dope video, thank you 고마와요

  • i don't think your pronounciations bad! thank you, this helped!

  • 안녕하세요 내 이름 수정  만나서 반가워요 저는 20 샐 이예요 =

    Hello, My Name Crystal. Nice to meet you. I Am 20 Years old.

  • @RavenMoonVid well saying your name in Korean is good but you can also say it in Koreanized pronunciation - Keu-ree-seu-tal 크리스탈

    20 샐 => 살. 살 is the word for counting age

    내 이름 수정 => 내 이름은 수정이에요.

  • @tokee1234567

    thanks

  • Oh god you guys talk so much faster than English. Trying to catch up on speed here! Thanks a lot for the video!

  • Thank You!!!

  • Video is awesome! Thanks John!

  • oh my.. korean is so hard :O

  • Ok how do you say i don't speak english?

  • @prince5797

    영어 말해를 못해요. (Young-oh mal heh-rul mot heh yo)

    영어 Young-oh = English

    말해 Mal-heh = Speak 를 rul = to 말해를 = to speak

    못해 Mot-heh = cannot

    요 yo = ending the sentence politely

    The structure in Korean would be.. English to speak cannot be.

  • @111i1011 영어 말해를 못해요 is also wrong.

    it should be 영어 못말해요. 영어 잘 못해요.

  • @tokee1234567

    맞아요.. 알겠다.

  • @prince5797

    but this is the shortcut in Korean for saying.. I can't speak or have a conversation nor even read English..

    영어 모르에요..

    영어 = Young-oh "English Language"

    모르 = to not understand

    에요 = declares the connected word before it.

    Young-oh moru'-eyo

    to be more polite.. Young-oh morumnida 영어 모릅니다

  • @111i1011 영어 모르에요? that's not how you say it

    영어 몰라요. is the right way to say it

  • @tokee1234567

    Thanks.. Greetings from Singapore.

  • @111i1011 i am also from singapore

  • @shihui09

    cool! i gonna sleep now.. lol

  • Man Na Seo Ban Ga Wo Yo

    ^..how do u pronouce the "s" in "seo" its soo hard...

    is it like lispy sounding?

  • if you want to pronounce it fast i think you can say 'so'

  • 서 the (eo) part is more like the sound of UH.. like how you say UMMMMM when you don't have anything to say. (given that you speak english) take out the M and you have the UHHHHH sound. that's the best advice I can give you. it's more of an inward sound.

  • thx !!!!!!!ur english pronouncing is not bad
