i went and replaced my 53 POS this summer in my 99 and when i got in there the slosh box was fried and after putting all back together that F@CKING ECM was a piece of shit and was unable to rebuild because of some shit about not having parts for that ECM so after $5k in the engine it needed $1600 for the ECM so now its parts for my 95 i got a few weeks ago i will never get an electrical pain again just the 24 valve head on my 12 valve block
@SUPERSPARTA41 Go with a 12v all the way. For the cost of a set of gauges (less than $500) you will have more power than any 24v plus know that you have a truck that is the king of reliability.
@SUPERSPARTA41 dont get a 24 valve. they have an electronically controlled bosch rotary pump which is okay if u upgrade the lift pump asap otherwise it will die on you and kill your injection pump. also it doesnt have the potential to put out power like a 12 valve with the bosch inline p7100 pump does. but if your keeping it stock then either is great. if your looking for a project truck to get 500 or 600 horsepower out of and your not a software writing guru then get a 12 valve. just my 2 cents
@dirtbikerman1234 thank you its rotting out now though like the cab mounts are done on it the rockers need repair and the cab corners and now the fenders also.
@JRFFRB ya all them old dodges do that tho you cant stop it especially when you have snow to deal with eh i live in alberta canada and we constintly are fixing our trucks
