words aren't really adequate to describe what OCS's songs meant to me growing up. I'm sure it's the same for a lot of OCS fans. I was 13 when Moseley Shoals came out and they released 3 more albums as I reached my 20s each one with songs that made life easier to live with them to listen to. OCS rule.
i remember buying this album when it first came out and thinking it was a bit disappointing. but i was about 18-19 at the time and now im almost 30 i can see the album for what it was and i love it..... if ocs have a bad tune i havent heard it yet!!!
hiya!, i was around the same age, it was 10 years ago, so i was 21, i know what you mean, i LOVED! so low at the time and still play it now in clubs, still love it, what happened was, the recorded version of this top tune, was waaaaaay! over produced, but listen to it LIVE! and it sounds fantastic, much better than on the album, it was probably the best song simon fowler has ever written in his life, ruined by bad mixing,
same happened to i wanna stay alive with you! i listened to that song and i could take it or leave it then i heard it live and it blew my mind!!! they have so many great tunes that i find it a shame that they are not bigger than jesus right now lol....
i think one of his best songs was i wanna stay alive with you and the album version was so over produced i can't listen to it! i went to see them in cardiff a few months ago and they were outstanding! they sang i wanna stay alive with you and it was a show stopper! this song as you said is a little over produced but i love this album and it's the mellow option to MS or MA........
i was 16 and i was the same. i had a bad point and this album held all the answers along with standing on the shoulder of giants by oasis when i was 20. now at 26 both one from the modern, and standing the shoulder of giants are two of the best album i've ever heard.
m 16¬¬ my dad played this to me as a kid ....now its still my favorite badn ..better than the shit u hear from Xfactor etc etc .....SIMON COWELS A PRICK ^^
