Were Ronan's people genetically enhanced humans? He seems so much stronger, tougher and agile than just about anybody else. However in this fight he's fighting an aging Teal'c who's best days are behind him. If they met back in the SG1 days Teal'c would've kicked his Satedan arse.

Teal'c is obviously better considering he is like 200 or something by the time this happens, including the extra age from the SG-1 finale AND is on tretonin instead of having a symbiote, while Ronon is like 30 and in his normal condition.

both have training.

teal'c was 1st prime, all ceremony but the jaffa got intensive training.. however, teal'c didn't have a tracker in his back. ronan did.

Ronan was military, got taken by the wraith, had to live on his own running and fighting every second of everyday for at least 7 years.

I like both characters about equally but it made no sense to be to have Ronon pull a draw with Teal'c. Decades upon decades upon decades of disciplined battle experience. It would have been more interesting (and truthful) to have Teal'c whoop him fairly substantially and have that resentment grow into a mentor like relationship. Ah well...

Teal'c would win in a real fight. It's not Teal'c style to hurt anyone unless it's real combat. Notice the sucker punch by ronan at the end and the resulting blood from Teal'c's real blows and the insulting blows to the back of ronan's head. That was the only time Teal'c intended to hurt him as punishment for refusing to stop fighting. Ronan is too reckless and cocky to ever beat Teal'c.

Teal'c is way more badass but remember he is a jaffa (yes i know he is like 161 or so here an his snake thingy was removed) even on that Tretonin but that is the same as a symbiote (the jaffa see it as weaker but it has the same effect only negative part about it is the jaffa needs the Tretonin). But Ronan is 100% human, find any other 100% human that could put up a fight with Teal,c in the Stargate Series i dare ya.

@reksub10 Yeah, the crew were trapped in an asguard time bubble and lived to be old and grey (some even died from old age) in the space of what was only a couple of seconds in the real world, Sam eventually figured out how to restore things to normal but one of them had to stay old(er) and Teal'c took the role since he still had many years ahead of him regardless.

Teal'c was never mean or ruthless. He's more philosophical and EXTREMELY calm and collected. But not in the "only logic counts" unemotional way, he has emotions and he loves his friends and family very much, he's just a master at controlling his temper.

He's also very loyal and would never abandon his friends. And he spends the entire show trying to atone for his sins and free his people.
