I'm glad that you support democracy, Don Young, because you will then understand why, as a voter, I will not be voting for you in the coming years. As a representative of Alaskans, you have never represented me though I have continually submitted communication to your office. If you want to help Alaskans, think long-term, think about ALL Alaskans, not just the wealthy oil-drenched businessmen and mining companies, and think outside the box. Most importantly, listen to your constituents.
Good to see you here Don, I will be watching faithfully.. I just wondered why you let the Feds shirk and Denali Kid Care Vanish Don, was that because we have the permanant fund to fall back on?? so we can spend the permanant fund instead?
I don't know why I thought you might be a little different than the other politicians wanting to get their little hands into the permanent fund, now you,I think this might just get us a different congressman.
You are talking about helping the people of Alaska, sounds kind of arrougant to me,I think that is your JOB,you are not doing me any favors just do you job.A registered voter,James Montgomery
"Get their little hands into the permanent fund" is a loaded and emotional phrase. The permanent fund belongs to the state and should be used in more thoughtful and beneficial ways than the annual welfare check Alaskans currently receive. Abolish the dividend and use the fund to support education and development. The welfare-grubbers will go back to the states and Alaskans can have Alaska back - better than ever.
