ahhhhh!!!! Hotch!! -3 -3 you looked extra sexyy in this clip :DDD and reid's smile -3 so cute:)) gotta say he looks wayyyy hotter with his short hair -3
i remember this episode i was so WOW and my mouth was open when hotch was talking in court with this stupied lawyer.. and the judge WISE DECISION hahaha amazing
@Itrainharder Well, I love Hotch, but he's not the only one who can pawn someone like that... Lightman can... And in this case, i like him more, 'cos he's a REAL ASSHOLE
Regardless of the accuracy or likeliness of this situation, Aaron Hotchner is a complete and total BADASS. And Reid's little smile when he watches him be a badass is kind of adorable X)
Hotch was just born of awesome sauce. His soul was created by Kratos, his mind crafted by the greatest thinkers in history, and his balls forged from diamonds in the heart of Mordor.
Just so you all know....there are many of the shows where they are wrong, or they miss something and it takes a long time to figure out the case. Yeah their good, but they have showed them as human who makes mistakes too.
That was sweet, but it's also the thing that bothers me about the series. Often, from one detail with fifty possible explanations comes an *assumption.* On that assumption are based a few dozen more assumptions. Very rarely does *any* of it fall short of 100% accuracy or leave any detail uncovered. That's *magic,* not analysis. I'd wish they'd wind up with multiple possible explanations, pick the wrong one and have to go back a few steps, etc more often. You know, more real.
I totally see where you're coming from. Obviously, they have a show to keep on. And whilst I would agree that it would be more interesting to have them be wrong more often, by creating such 'perfect' characters they increase our aptitude towards them!
@GustavWadstrand Also, they only have an hour show. (Minus the 20 or so minutes of commercials, so more like 40 minutes. Not a lot of time to be wrong, sadly.)
@EcliptorCalrissian I see what you mean, and when they're on cases with no idea who they're looking for I agree, but in this situation I think it works. I feel like it's more realistic here since he wasn't just going off of one random assumption like the matching socks and suit, but was combining that information with the buzzing phone, his knowledge of horse racing, and observations about changes in behavior to create a profile. It's Sherlock Holmes-ish, and personally I prefer it that way.
@EcliptorCalrissian - But that's what attracts the viewer to the show. The way they do things like that, coming up with theories, or assuming things from a single move that a criminal or any other person made, etc. -- it's all really appealing. At least, that's why I keep on going back to the show. It justs adds to the charm of the show. If they were wrong, and if the smart tactics that they used weren't right, then it wouldn't do anything, really. It wouldn't add to the show.
@EcliptorCalrissian Even if there are a lot of explanations, the point is that they choose the best one based on their analysis. To people like us, its guess work and any one of the explanations could be right, but to a profiler, there are very few possibilities. Although people do make mistakes. So I agree that once in a while a mistake would be nice.
@EcliptorCalrissian It's a long shot but on occasion, one could get it all right. The tv show simply takes that moment of "right" and puts it in the story more often than the times one gets it wrong. Would you watch a show about people getting it wrong more than they get it right?
@EcliptorCalrissian Its funny you should mention it, because in that very episode, the murderer is first thought to show remorse towards his victims because he buries them face down. Later we are tod that the team had to go back and correct the profile, as it was discovered that this wasn't a sign og remorse, but in fact had something to do with native american culture.
They don't make a lot of mistakes, but it does happen. (As the lawyer of the clip so elegantly argumented for)
I first got into this show around this season and, with this being one of the first eps I saw, after this scene, Hotch became one of my all-time favorite characters out of any series. :-)
@cyberperson53 One of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite shows. He's a good actor with a very good character to play. Can't believe its the same guy who was once from the TV comedy, Darma and Greg.
easily Hotch's Crowning moment of awesome. this episode is my dad's absolute favorite because of this scene.

@EcliptorCalrissian Maybe their accuracy is due to their being considered the most elite in the country.
I mean, it must come with practice and experience but also because they're the best?
Obviously, they wouldn't be right every time. Just most of the time. Like depicted.
