  • What the heck is going on? As a kid, I enjoyed this movie, but t now as an adult, all of a sudden someone seems to be chopping onions nearby.

  • @bushbasher85

That's a good sign. It shows that with the years, you more and more recognize how precious a true bond between human and animal is instead of forgetting about it, like a lot of people do. Be proud of it, man.

  • Can't stop crying. If you don't even shed a tear, you're an idiot!

  • every time it got to this part i used to cry, and i still do <3

  • We recently just lost our Golden Retriever , she was 12 years old. I didn't see her get put to sleep , so I hadn't had the chance to get cry. After thinking about this scene , I had to look it up immediately , and I did cry. I miss you Goldie. You are in a better place.

  • This film's ending and Old Yeller practically kill me everytime! It's almost too much to bare. But at least with this one I can smile. There's just no bond like what you can have with your dog. (Or cat) With a pet you'll never be cheated on, be ignored, and nevr feel belittled. It's a relationship you can always trust. And these movies couldn't showcase it better. I love Chance and Shadow! They remind me so much of my dog. :)

  • 2:40................... *SOBS LIKE A MANIAC*

  • the end always makes me cry

  • "Sweetheart, Sassy can't breathe."

    LOL

  • Why is it that I cry with such happy endings? Seriously?

  • @TyrantTG002 Don't worry, the samething happens to me.

  • @CommanderMike126 Yeah but why does it happen? (man I love happy endings)

  • @TyrantTG002 I really don't know, probably cause happy endings are just, happy, and it makes you happy to see these things happen. But honostly, I don't know the scientific reason :)

  • I LOVE THE MUSIC FOR THIS MOVIE!!

  • I Lost A Cat Once, She Came Back Two Months Later. I Know Exactly How The Family Feels

  • i cry EVERYTIME at that scene, then laugh. so i'm not gonna watch it now. (i love that movie^^)

  • God I love this film. Always makes me well up. Great classic

  • i always cry at the end ofd this movie, and yes I have a male dog named Shadow..lol

  • My gosh, definately a scene that brings a tear to the eye, even though it's a happy ending. I get a little teary at Chance, then laugh at sassy, and then bawl like a little boy at Shadow.

  • Not going to lie, I totally cried at this part lol

  • One of the only movies I would cry on

  • this movie is the best, it never gets old. i watched it when i was a kid and now my kids watch it.

  • I really hope they re-release this movie soon so maybe I can find a soundtrack of it

  • Awsome movie!!

  • "oh sweet heart....Sassy can't breathe!"

  • if you'll recall Chance scared of thee TURKEY earlier Guess he likes them dead lol greatest movie ever

  • Chance was my favorite. So cocky throughout the movie, and when Shadow fell in that hole, it was Chance that pushed him on for a change.

  • it's my favorite film when I was young :D well.. and now too! xD

WHAT IS THE TITLE OF THE SONG??

    please tell my :)

  • The score playing when they`re reunited is simply called "Reunited", and the one playing during the end credits is amazingly called "End Credits" xD

  • shadow was always my favorite dog/ animal in these two movies

  • this is why i think some children can act much better than adults. their innocence and naivety makes it easier for them to show emotions. nice ending!

  • whoever didnt cry or at least have a lip trembling at this scene is soulless

  • I don't cry, but when Peter and Shadow are reunited, im smiling so hard, i think my face is gonna burst

  • Oh, well.

    This is nice.

  • omg me too my sister named her cat after sassy

  • how epic, i havent seen this movie in years

  • omgosh *tear*

  • this is an epic movie =] makes me cry all the time

  • I could just watch 2:24-3:13 again and again!

  • GOD!! I love this music, this scene makes me cry every single time

  • SHADOW ! <3 I love him.

    I love this movie.

  • what the title of this music

  • bonjour j'aimerais bien avoir le titre de la chanson de fin ! merci ! jcbmartinique

  • So if there are adopted children in my family I couldn't consider them my family?

  • That's different. Just like you CHOOSE who your best friends are, you CHOSE to adopt. Not the case with biological children.

What I mean is, saying "I love you BECAUSE you're my son," is about as meaningful as saying "I love you BECAUSE you're black" or "I love you BECAUSE you're over six feet tall." They're all a matter of genetics.

  • But if you're adopted, do you choose who adopts you?

Also, what an organism, especially a sentient organism, is like depends as much on it's environment and experiences as on genetics. Furthermore; father, son, etc are terms used to describe relationship between two or more people whereas height and race describe the traits of a single individual.

  • True, a child doesn't choose who adopts him, but he can choose if he will stay with his guardians when he turns 18, or if he'll ostracize them from his life, depending largely on how the guardians treat him during his childhood.

Environment and experiences are much more influential than genetics, and that's how you choose who you love; not because of a scientific relationship. However, people seem to think that because they're "family," that gives them more stroke in things.

  • So you see family relationships as no more than a tool that we use?

Humans actually have a psychological need for them. We are social animals.

  • True, but such psychological need can easily be satisfied with really good friends.

Besides, I wouldn't be making such a big deal out of it in the first place if it weren't for the fact that my own family condemns me demanding equal things from them if I give them something (like, for example, my parents sold me my first car, but almost didn't want to do it, so I almost sued them, until they gave me the car, and to this day, they bitch about how I should sue my own flesh and blood).

  • In terms of how we develop as people I think family is not necessarily the group of people with whom you share a blood relation, but those who love you unconditionally. And really good friends can be part of that. Perhaps some loyalty is owed, but it works both ways. Based on your account your family isn't holding up it's half.

  • That is the exact opposite of what I've experienced. Like, for example, about 14 months ago, my father attacked me and grabbed me by the neck; my mother begged and pleaded with me not to send him to jail because "he's your father!"

  • Exactly. Their not holding up their end. They don't treat you as they should. But then they defend themselves saying you shouldn't do anything about as they are your family. They are hypocrites for that. I don't know how old you are, if you are a minor it's child abuse, if you are any adult it's assault. In my opinion, you should press charges.

  • Ok, who's side are you on, here, anyway? First, you try and pose these hypotheticals to try and prove me wrong on the notion that family is just a scientific relationship, and now you're agreeing with me?

  • I disagree that family is merely a scientific relationship. But I agree that your family mistreats you and you have the right to seek legal action against them. A family that abuses you is not a proper family.

  • True, but what I'm talking about is... there is no such thing as unconditional love; any and all love can be won or lost depending on how the loved ones treat one another.

  • I guess that's true. But that largely depends on a person's nature. In a relationship where the people are good people it makes little difference. But your parents would seem to have lost that right.

  • Yes, my entire family (not just my parents) are also very forgiving, and they expect that to run in the family. I guess my unforgiving nature is a recessive gene.

  • Personality is unpredictable. Even identical twins are not the same.

  • @dstebbin Wow...Total douche-bag comment but whatever. The movie is still sweet and Chance most certainly does have a "family". Family is just a term most people use to describe their loved ones weather they are related by blood or otherwise. Just because the people you surrounded yourself with by choice obviously SUCK gives you no right to belittle other people and bash a very sweet movie. Let it go and surround yourself with good people who deserve to be called your "Family".
