Personally I feel this is totally pathetic. First of all if you decline the scanner because you have an explosive up your ass, is the TSA going to do cavity checks? Is that what's coming next. GREAT!!! Secondly, I think it's just the government conditioning us via fear-mongering to blindly obey their every command. Thirdly, we have lost almost 4000 people in ten years to terrorism. We have lost over 400,000 people in automobile accidents in the last 10 years. WHAT ARE WE AFRAID OF?

If this elderly woman were instead a 20-40 year-old Arabain Muslem, you can bet TSA would have let him go without a 2nd thought. After all, TSA has to be weary of those DANGEROUS elderly women, 6 year-old children and even babies! Because everyone knows it's them who are most likely to hijack airliners, right?!
@Timbrock1000 Exactly.We should ignore the granola-munching liberals who whine about profiling and simply focus on the people whom we know pose the real threat. We all know whom to look for. Apparently the TSA hires agents who had to cheat on their exams in order to get their GEDs. There needs to be a total shakedown of the TSA's leadership.They always claim to have "intelligence" on threats to our security. That's hogwash--The TSA has NEVER prevented a single attack on an airliner. Not once.
