  • alaska is by far the best state in america!!!....greetings from ireland!

  • cool!

  • Tenho muita vontade de conhecer o Alaska. Sei que deve ser bem gélido, mas deve ser maneiro. Abraços!!!!!!!!!!

  • No place on earth quite as cool (no pun intended) as Fairbanks; spoken by a native, born in the old St Joe's hospital on the Chena River (in 1950); yes, only five years after World War II ended. It was quite different back then; rather than plug cars into outlets, you removed your car battery and kept it inside the cabin overnight. Not so much traffic back then either. And definitely not so many traffic lights! LOL :)

  • Great place for a zombie invasion... the bastards wouldn't get anywhere :)

  • it looks so beautiful

    greetings from iowa

  • wouldn't it be something if the University of Fairbanks-Alaska had a football, hockey, baseball and basketball teams? haha

  • Remek video! Alaszkaban elsz?

  • I love the extreme cold, subzero temperatures and I'd love to live in Alaska or wherever it often gets below -30 in the winter. Greetings from a Hungarian living in Dublin, Ireland.

  • I spent 2 winters there being stationed at Eielson AFB, 26 miles south of Fairbanks. A lot of strange things happen in the extreme cold like your car tires being flat on the bottom only & the need to plug your car into an electrical outlet to heat the engine & battery over night. We were told not to run to get to our destination cause the super cold air that was rapidly inhaled would close your lungs & you'd suffocate. Most lower 48 military would come to our base for Artic survival training.

  • How I would love to experience life in Fairbanks. I often dream of going up there to spend a year, and if I absolutely love it, relocating there permanently. I think that I would love the seasonal extremes that Fairbanks enjoys, with the long, cold, snowy winters and the warm (and at times even hot!) summers. Not to mention the extremes between daylight hours. Sounds so nice!

  • why people live there, i cant understand, dont they know anything about florida, california arizona vs...

  • @pulp1606 because everyone doesn't want to live in all that heat all the time

  • @DaddyCaldwell 99 percent of people will say the same thing 'hot is always better than cold'.Calif weather is perfect, especially southern part, the san diego area.Florida summers very hot, but winters it is great, arizona i have never been there but my friend lives there with his wife, he said that even in winters, you can see girls with mini skirts and flip flops.I prefer a 70k job in calif over 100k in alaska.By the way i live in nyc, and here is damn cold too.I miss my home country turkey.

  • @pulp1606 I would be one of the "1 percent" (sure it's more than that!) who would absolutely HATE having a perpetual summer. That would get so very boring for me. If I could have a long cold winter with lots of snow, and a short summer with a few days hot enough to go for an outdoor swim in a local lake, that would be awesome. And Fairbanks, along with most of interior Alaska, offers just that. So no, not everybody prefers year round warmth.

  • looks like a nice day for a jog in a short sleve shirt.

  • @hurryupche Or get plummet by Lisa Kelly (Ice Road Truckers) for driving down the middle of the street in her way.

  • That weather looks so cold and refreshing!

  • what would happen if u put your tongue on a pole when its this cold

  • Wow, I'm glad I live in Arizona! We had a high of 50 degrees the other day with rain and I was just freezing. Could not get my feet to warm up.

Interesting music. I was wondering what language it was. Sounded like Russian. Hmmm Hungarian guess it's similar, eh?

  • Hungarian and russian languages are absolutely different :)

  • I live in Phoenix ansd it's way to hot for me. I can always dress warm, but nothing will keep the heat off especially since the AC in my house sucks!
