Actually it's the other way around. if you search for "tegan and sara live at pheonix with commentary part 4" they talk about it on that. sara wrote the first verse and then tegan wrote the chorus, the second verse, and the music.

It is on the album named "Under feet like ours" but it sounds different and the lyrics are different as well. They were 17-18 years old back then and this is a much later version. I like both versions.

When I first heard T&S (The video for 'The First' was on an Indie Spotlight bit on Much Music) I immediately went and downloaded everything I could, which was everything off of 'Under Feet' at that point. I FINALLY got a copy of 'Under Feet' from the merchadise table when they came through Regina a few months ago. I WOULD have bought it sooner, but I couldn't find it anywhere. The people at HMV thought that 'This Buisness of Art' was their first album... in four different locations!
