Missing a server.cfg will not force you into LAN mode. You know how you launch your server from the shortcut with all the funny - commands? well add this: -port 27015

Then portforward 27015 and people will be able to connect to your server.

@ROBLOXisthebestparas if you have ASS Admin Mod, then in the server console, type either Give_Ownership *username*; GiveOwnership *username*; ASS_GiveOwnership *username*. im pretty sure its one of those, so just try all of them until it tells you that you are owner. if you DONT have ASSmod, then it works all through server console or rcon.

I lol'd when you said not to go over 4 people or your shit will lag... i used to run an 18 slot rp server with out any bit of lag.. me and my friends even tried our hardest to crash it once with these b2 bombers we made. It lagged like fuck then but still didnt crash.. you just need a decent amount of ram to run it. and thats pretty much it.. 2 GB's can do ya good.. but the more the merrier!

the reason the

cd C:\srcds

hldsupdatetool

wont work for some people is because when u downloaded the rdsc autouptade thingy it didnt install into that folder it made its own folder usually found in C:\blah blah\valve\hdsupdate or w/e

to fix this re download the thingy and make the instalation folder C:\srcds

when you install then everything will work

when u are updating it will say something like verifying bootsomething server

just wait for it to finish
