  • I really don't have the words to describe how beautiful this is.

Also, was that Sterling Holloway at 2:20?

  • @MrsCamui Thank you so much - so glad you liked it. Yes, it is indeed - the clip is from the Stanwyck/MacMurray film Remember the Night (1941)

  • @ijustwanttosing You're very welcome! ^^

I looked up the film and I think I'll make it a part of my Christmas movie collection. Thank you for informing me of it.

  • Oh my gosh. You were already perfect in my eyes. And now you're singing Joni Mitchell. You've surpassed every idea of perfection that I thought I knew. Your a whole new ideal. I love your voice, I love your videos, I love your taste. Everything you do is magical. This is incredible Kari. You are so special.

  • Hello Kari, I'm deep impressed about your rendition of this old Joni-song. You have a very great voice, and I like it.

All the best for this new year 2011

    Michael

  • @talesandtunes Thank you so much! - and a very happy new year to you too :-)

  • Oh Kari *___*

I absolutely LOVE this song and your version is beautiful. (hehe I went around singing this song in my flat yesterday).

Thank you for this, your talent is truly great and I could listen to your voice for hours.

  • @FemalePhantom Thank you so much Cora - So glad you like my version, and don't consider it sacrilege :D

  • which is the first movie with Charles? :O

I really like this song too but I knew a faster version. Your version is lovely too Karen, as always :)

  • @Rena1934 Break of Hearts (1935) - Charles and Kate are wonderful together (not as wonderful as Charles and Irene .. but ... well ... you wouldn't want them to be anyway :D ) It's a very simple typical 30's romance-drama - but I loooove it. And as you can see, I keep using scenes from Consolation Marriage .. don't know why, but I keep watching that one "*purring* Cooome here, Mister Porter"

  • Perhaps one of the greatest recordings I've ever heard. So beautiful, Kari. Superb, my friend. Thank you. 5 stars. :)

  • @singingkid No, thank you! That was a wonderful compliment :-)

  • @ijustwanttosing You're so welcome, and I forgot to mention, because I was so taken aback by your amazing recording, your use of these classic film clips! Earth shatteringly poignant. Breaks your heart. So well thought out, and so beautifully done. :))

  • I love your Beautiful voice and ALL your videos!

  • @weeedster Aaaaaaaaw - tusind tak :-)

  • You know what I love most of all? The fact that you can convey emotions so well. Very moving. I couldn't be more in awe of your talent.

  • @EDH1712 You know what I love most of all? The fact that you are so amazing! (Am I being corny? .. ah well, I don't care) Thank you so much, Erika :-)

  • This is a blast my dear Kari. What a joy to hear your beautiful voice shining like an angel. It sounds like if you were embracing each single tone. Although I don´t know the song (I never told you that, but I have no radio and don´t watch TV....), I feel like it was my favorite of all times. You should be proud of this one. I am deeply impressed.

    André

  • @BaerchenprinzBln Thank you so much for your sweet comment André :-) I have both a radio and a TV - but I only listen to / watch the news... I prefer watching old movies and listening to old songs :D But this song isn't exactly new either.. Joni Mitchell wrote it in 1967 :P

  • Beautiful, really beautiful. You've done so good job there. Also, so nice to see those New Year's scenes from "Holiday", one of my all time favorite movies ... Thanks, thanks a lot.

  • @Crooner0810 Aaaaaaaaaaaaw you like Holiday too :-) - It's one of my favourite movies too!! Kate is so beautiful - and Cary Grant is somewhere between being youthfully handsome and ...uhm... what to call it... "a-bit-older-and-hubba-hubba-charming" - *swoon* :D

I'm so glad you liked my video :-)
