@LunaSeaSane this stuff is all from Outside; it was meant to be on the album, but he had to make it more commercial because, it its original form, no record company would take it. Bowie has over 20 hours of stuff for contamination that, as of his last mention in the early 2000's, he has yet to even sort through. as to what "happened" to contamination, he had intentions of completing it as late as 2003
@cbrez13 14 years on the wait? A bit much, is all I have to say...
Hey, thanks a lot for the indepth info. Most apreciated.
Odd though...that at his stage, he'd still be dwelling with people telling him: "Look, we won't release it like that". Especially given how odd "Outside" really is; all behavioral aberration. Why would anyone want to have it sounding "normal"?
@LunaSeaSane well thats part of the reason he left his record company. he wanted more freedom to release whatever he wanted to. they wouldnt take his original outside album, not just because it wouldnt sound "normal" but more because they felt it wouldnt sell as many records as they wanted. remember, bowie was still, in a way, recovering from the damage to his reputation from "Never Let Me Down," so he wasnt at the point where he could necessarily do whatever he wanted.
@LunaSeaSane so he made it more "commercial" to appease them and give him more creative power in the future. he had enough when they wouldnt release "Toy" back in 2001, so he left and started Iso Records, even though "Toy" still has no official release (was finally released on bittorrent the other day though :D) oh and GAD's comment about an album wasnt necessarily referring to Contamination, but to an album in general. but, as he's shown in the past, he has somewhat of a short attention
but, he unfortunately has taken what is hopefully only an extended hiatus. there was a report from gail ann dorsey in 2010 that he planned to "gradually" work on an album
Fantastic, they should release Outside in the form Bowie intended.... an already great album made even greater!!!! Genius. Maybe Bowie's finishing off the Trilogy & thats why he has disappeared off the radar [wishes!]
Hey dudes, that's Leon, not 2. Contamination. Leon was a retrieved-part forming the backbone's story before Outside's actual one.

Exactly, what happened to Contamination? Maybe most of this is Contamination.

Cool outtake... I hope Bowie finishes 2.Contamination & 3.Afrikaan someday. Or at least reissue outside with all the deleted material.

@mmmmmm67
i guess you think he sounds like Mr. Bowie, don't you? :)

@mmmmmm67 Don't know: maybe Iggy mixed with a little bit of Jimmy Page and ACDC. Anyway, to me, it's a whole new dimension to Bowie, great!!!!!!!!!!
