@lk1dare Not sure where you found a draganflyer for 32k but I see plenty of them for around 2-6 hundred dollars. Even fully loaded with autopilot and everything you are still only looking at maybe 2k. 32k would be one sick toy.
@AsylumET and so I take that back. Just saw the X8 for 24k but that included everything right down to a professional DSLR camera and base unit for FPV.
@happyrichie agree with you. totaly insane money ? the price set to blow down. 1k for (details or equipment) other 10k. for the name and no "lot of people" could buy it. This product isn't for the mass. + gears + canon camera - here we have the new business.. buy operator with octoperator :-) .. sucks. but this is true. i'll buy 250 usd rc helicopter. - this price is normal for the stuff like this. - this is game toys.
@thespotmouse lol i still think about how good this is. just about to spend £2500 on cameras it should be cheeper than 1 high quality 3d camera let alone the price of 2-infinty, dont know what they are thinking, how many u sold? lmao!
@happyrichie i don't sold no one as i'm not seller. i could be octoopter customer if this system costs 1000, not 11k. so i buyed my trex for 500 usd + spend 250usd for video send/reveice and mounting for canon d60.
there is always alternative to "non-price-understanding" systems.

@webeskimo uhm, pay for parts? I have limited machining and assembly skills, though I have fully designed paintball markers before. The idea that I have is that the camera would be on a servo assembly (the Camera operator would be looking at a modified xbox or PS3 controller and you can pan and would feature an auto-center so you get level video when the helicopter is swivelling around.
did you use the standard "hexakopter XL" frame or did you do any changes on the frame? i got this frame and am wondering how smooth and stable yours is flying. mine is "floundering" with the 5DmkII on board. can´t figure out if it´s the motors bringing up vibrations or the frame ... did you try outside maybe with a little wind?
@chockes I try not to fly in windy situtions with the multirotors if shooting video. I have seen a few xls with the aluminum arms flex too much with the MK center plates.
@jeffscholl Do you find that helicopters are more stable than multi-rotor in windy conditions? I'm a hobbyist thinking of trading my TREX 450 Sport for a Mikrokopter quad, but I'm near the ocean and it's windy almost every day.
Since they don´t seem to answer to that part of your question: With this kind of payload, you should get a flight time of 12 to 18 minutes out of your Hexa XL (without payload, it can do around half an hour).
Do you use these multi copters for buisness use?

@MI6CORPORAL looking at the frame of the helicopter in the video I think I could design a conversion kit around that exsisting helicopter

Use CFK centerplates and put wooden dowels in each arm to make it more stable in windy conditions.

how much flight time do you get with that set up....
Size of battery/s? and payload you have in this video?
Would a standard hexa lift it and how much flight time would be possible?
rowdyjim 1 year ago
@rowdyjim Thatwas a 6000mah 4s. 5d is pretty much the limit for payload.
Standard mk hexa would have issues with this payload.
jeffscholl 1 year ago
@jeffscholl what is the flight time with this setup?
DoNotuseEbid 1 year ago
@DoNotuseEbid We can get 9 minutes with a 6000 4s pack. I get around 20 minutes if I'm just carrying a GoPro.
jeffscholl 1 year ago
@jeffscholl Thanks very much, I hope to get one within the next few months. I thought 5min was the flight time thats great news! ta
