cool 6 cylinder....love that smooth sound!!! but a very edgy landing....almost tipped the prop into the sod!! plenty of room to land so why the hurry?...
best short field i have ever seen. brings the wagon in slow, and at minimum airspeed, adds power to maintain the slowest speed possible. the wheels touch right on the money, and while the tail comes up somewhat as the brakes hold, this is perfectly done. it just dont get better than this!
In some AC like the 185 putting more weight on the front wheels (IE in a wheel landing) gives superior braking and slower stop distances than a 3p. Generally in lighter a/c which are more likely to nose over with heavy, heavy breaking, the extra effectiveness of the brakes is outweighed by the excess speed, increasing stopping distance (IE in a Bellanca Scout a 3p gives shorter landings generally)
That was a short landing! He's down and stopped in approx. 500 feet or less. How much shorter do you want.
I wonder how many hours the nay sayers here have in 185s or ANY airplane.. Interesting that some can tell how fast he's approaching from watching a video. He went from 3pt to wheel landing for a couple reasons, one being SO HE COULD SEE WHERE HE WAS GOING!!
@MclF01 It's just not as short as what I've seen others do, even with a wheel landing. He was probably landing it as short as he could though, all things considered.
I like the tires through the grass.... Great landing.

Good brake work, but it looks like he's coming in a bit fast. It's not a 3 point, and definitely not a short landing.

@CebuBangkaRacer umm so its not a 3 point land means its not a short land ?

No, that's a pretty damn good wheel landing.

No way...the tailwheel touch first at landing...it's not a good 2 points, and not a good 3 points too.
