BN's SD60Ms from original numbers 9200-9249 had the 3 piece windshield. Numbers 9250-to 9298 and the 1991 had the 2 piece windshield. 1991 was renumbered to 9299. All BNSF SD60Ms have been renumbered and are now 8100-8199.

Great tribute to one of the greatest locomotives and paint scheme, 5 stars and a favorite! While I like both styles of cab on the SD60M's, I really like the "triclops" whiteface scheme the best. It's been quite a while since I last saw one of those units leading a train, three years at least!

Yea, All we have in south carolina is Mainly CSX. So yea, but rarely a BNSF or 2 and some conrail. NS is in the capital of SC. Why is UP so bad?

Alot of people say CSX sucks =(, they say we dont clean our tracks and maintain them. When in south carolina we do. We know better because SCDOT gets on our asses if we dont. :D But we have many trucks on the tracks fixing constantly so we are good down here.

Somebody finally backing up CSX. CSX is a great road and even if they can be the worst for derailments in there class, that class has less the 10 other competitors in it so they are doing pretty dang well still. I know several guys working in M.O.W. for CP and it is a fact they they are all over any M.O.W. guys for doing there jobs and keeping the trains on track.

yeah I agree that CN really should have kept away from WC, IC, and DM&IR. I hate how they sold the 45's, and painted almost all the DM&IR loco's. BNSF is a much larger road and will always be better. I would see BNSF taking over CN much more then CN taking the BNSF.

CN is not even a quarter the size of BNSF. As for CN buying BNSF never going to happen. They are from 2 different countries and the US would not let them merge when they wanted to because CN wanted the headquarters in Montreal. (probably spelled that wrong)

If you want to see a good paint scheme look at the new paint job on KCS. I know its an old paint job but I think it looks nice on the new engines.

that was the Desert Storm unit numbered 1991 it honored all the National Guard employees that got called to active duty, UP had an SD40-2 painted in desert camo for the same purpose.

Well, at least be glad you saw them while you could. Its time for them to be repianted anyway, they have to change sometime..its better than them turning into rustbuckets or having the logo un-readable. Unfortanately, its been almost 13 years, so you cant really blame BNSF for wanting to get them up to date. NS is doing it as well with the old CR fleet. Thats already been almost a decade. Times change, as well as the things with it. Catch every little thing like this left that you can.
