  • 1:55 you're welcome

  • In 1980,the 1970s rock-movie-musical decided it wasn't going down without a fight!!!

  • So bad it's no fun. Bad bad not good bad.

  • I'm sold. I need to see this.

  • This looks so bad it might be good

  • 1:53

OK, which one of us said that?

  • I just saw this in full this evening. Absolutely hilarious.Totally wrongheaded in every way, but loads of fun on that level. I wonder what became of George Gilmour? Also, what is that accent?

  • My 1994 wasn't as interesting as this.....

  • The suicide rate increased dramatically after this piece.

  • God, the song lyrics could've been written by a 12-year-old.

  • i randomly googled "the apple" and found this lol

  • It was the worse but a total camp classic.

  • This looks bad, really really bad. So bad that I'm now going to have buy a copy of it.

  • the world is controled by appel macaintosh ....:-D

  • por fin uno guapo

  • Caligula vs. Barbarella in Xanadu, on Ice!

  • The exact moment the rock movie musical was declared legally dead.

  • Why don't we have movies like this today?

  • WORST ENDING EVER

  • F*CKING EIGHTIES!

  • Just watched it today. if u love crappy 80's musicals like Voyage of the rock aliens. even the 70's Phantom of Paridise, you will love The Apple.

  • I'll pass!

  • 0:47

Why the FUCK does that guy have a female singing voice?

  • Prerecorded Friends sent me here ;)

  • I just watched the most atrocious movie ever called The Apple it's lame ripoff on Rocky Horror, Xanadu and The Wiz if you ever get stoned and nothing better to watch this one will cause psychological damage

  • I was actually a paid extra in this movie in Berlin. One of the punk painted, fish net stockings and mini skirt fans. Ahahaha it was a blast. And the best part there were other friends from Berlin American High School that were also extra's. Which excused us from missing days of classes! I have not seen the movie but cracked up laughing from reading the comments here to the point I think I need to check it out. lol

  • @anitra008 If you're in it you definitely need to see it!

  • Someone actually read this script and said: "We'll finance this!"

  • Comment removed

  • who would have guessed it that in 1980 they'd foretold the power of the apple company and why the fuck is ever one dry humping i phones ,apple mcs and i pads

  • @ryanartist88 Damnnnn.. I never thought of that.

  • Looks like someone foretold the birth of Lady Gaga..

  • That's enough not to make me want to EVER see the movie (not even the mellifluous tones of Mr. Danny "Voice of NBC" Dark).

  • This movie really is pretty great and definitely has some good songs (although they really did take the whole God vs. the Devil thing a bit too far at the end of the movie.) I'm just glad I saw the movie before I saw this trailer though because even though I already love the movie, this trailer makes me never want to see it.

  • really? cause i remember 94 being mostly about a kurt cobain getting all sad and offing himself.

  • @hexrei You missed out on Techno obviously.

  • @gogoaustralia lol... the specific genre? or just what normals call everything electronically produced? im seriously curious here

  • @gogoaustralia um, techno? you mean the specific genre? no, i was a raver in the 90's and I definitely didnt miss out on techno, house, trance, dnb, breaks, etc. If you mean "techno" as in what people who don't really understand electronic music tend to call all electronic music... well, no, again.

  • Bet Steve Jobs has the director's cut.

All I can say is thank fuck for shit films and when you consider that the 'actors' are people who took the job to pay their bills, you don't know whether to laugh or cry.

    Brilliant.

  • LOL,oh boy,another cheezefest musical film discovered!

  • 1994 eh? lmao! i wish!!!!! instead of dat "gangsta" rap. other than dat...i need 2 smoke some serious ish 4 this!

  • @Chevaldelune Nice one! Must've been a good year.

  • This movie was worse than "Plan 9 from Outer Space". Just terrible.

  • is it weird that that's exactly how i remember 1994?

  • One of the greatest movies ever made! Love it. :)

  • I totally remember when that happened.

  • This movie was so bad its good, terrible disco music, campy plots, ESOL lyrics and the stink of cheapness, but it was hilarious, especially the effeminate blackguy Shake (Was it Grace Jones brother?)

  • Very satanic trailer. Is very interestig the part where is say "the apple take your soul".I belive that 80% of all technology with have today dont belong to the natural ways of human thinking.Evil or Aliens our Elite(top Mafia)is getting help by outsiders.Without that help probably the speed of our developmen where one tird of what is now.Outsiders acelerated our development for certain occult and misterious purpose. They purpose. We are their sheeps.

  • Rotten Tomatoes, how'd you miss this one! I heard about this "crappy" musical from a UK episode of Kitchen Nightmrares with Gordon Ramsay. Come on everybody, let's keep cult-classic shitty films alive to laugh at by making this a "cult-classic"!!!!!!! THE APPLE. YAAY!!!!! LMAO!

  • @MagnetoMasterOfEvil: This one isn't as crappy as one called, 'Toomorrow' starring Olivia-Newton John in her film debut-pray that THAT one NEVER gets released on DVD (although its not as bad as the one she appeared in last year, 'Score: A Hockey Musical'!)

  • @Neville6000 Thanks! I'll have to check those out too! LOL! This genre of "dumbness" makes we wonder why Rocky Horror never got an Academy award! You crazy brits! I love ya!

  • @MagnetoMasterOfEvil: Sorry for the late post, but:

1)Score: A Hockey Musical is only available in a Region 1 DVD (if you're a Brit)

2)Again, Toomorrow is NOT available on DVD, and hopefully will NEVER be.

    3) If you want to see a crazy musical that is on DVD, get 'Skidoo' also.

  • There just aren't enough sci-fi musicals.

  • so terrible, that it is funny

  • I will take 2 hours on the rack instead please and dont be shy with the whip...

  • I think this movie was profetic.... or maybe Microsoft not Apple ruled the world in 1994... but now Apple rules the music business in 2010!

  • @BadIdeaBearCub I just KNEW Justin Beiber was their doing.

  • That's how I remember 1994.

  • its so disturbing and pointless that it's amazing

  • "There ain't no shame" is right.

  • this moie is the best. oh my god.

  • The line between bad movies and good movies is a broken circle. This film has crossed over to the other side!

  • I spend 2months in Berlin dancing on this film. OH BOY what a two months.

    Thanks for the memories!

  • the apple needs to be seen to be believed. breathtaking.

  • One of the best movies of all time...honestly...it's incredible...a totally self-aware (a la Showgirls) masterpiece...an accident doesn't play this well. Try to see it on the big screen, at a midnight show if possible!!

  • Ah memories. This is EXACTLY how 1994 played out for me. How bout' you guys?

  • It looks terrible!!!!!!!

You have got to be kidding me.

The cinefiles says it is idotic!

  • Saw this on cable 10 times as a kid, about 1983, and at the time thought is was cool...admittedly the word cool also applied to other things that upon reflection were not so cool, but it made me think and entertained me so what the hell?

  • 80s was sure weird

  • Will Ferrell?

  • May be they were talking about apple ipod's in year 2004.

  • Orderd the DVD ...NEVER bought a DVD before. LOL

  • Pure crap, I gotta see it.

  • Saw it last night too. It was so bad, it was good. I must own this movie and the soundtrack.

  • This popped up on the local tv station last night_don't think they had a clue of what it was.LOL___I'm 62 and had never seen this movie. Turns out it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. No kidding. This would be a blockbuster hit if released today and probably win a award or two or three or four. People say the acting bad but I think ITS GREAT and RIGHT ON!

  • So THIS is the movie Xanadu's "evil twin"!

  • En 1994 all cops will look like the S&M Biker from the Village People.

  • The Alamo Drafthouse shows a couple of scenes from this movie as part of their pre-show. It is so bad, but you can't turn away! It's AWESOME!

  • 1:33 "the apple is the forbidden fruit" then a black girl starts singing to him... wow...

  • I didn't know there was a movie that predicted the control freak aspects of Apple Computers.

  • lol the guy holding the apple at 1.26 now owns a fish and chip restaurant in Brighton!!!

  • like it or not, the BIM is with us to stay kiddies.

The Apple is one of Cannon Films better efforts.

  • Why does Satan only have one horn?

  • @castingtherunes It's cheaper.

  • So the guy is hallucinating as a result of drinking the devil's brew and continues to drink it @ 1:02? This movie makes India's 1982 "Disco Dancer" look like Oscar material. I can't wait to watch this in it's entirety.

  • Yes... A Truly "Special" Experience...

  • Is that Roger Daltrey holding the giant apple?

  • And this is why you should use Windows...

  • weird film, but I liked it.

  • Wow, at 0:59 he looks like Will Ferrell!!

  • @SingleShotStudio jeez he does too!

  • Great story about this film.

"Reportedly, during its premiere at the Paramount Theater in Hollywood, audiences threw their free souvenir soundtracks at the screen, causing extensive damage. "!!!

Makes "Xanadu" look linear and coherent in comparison!!!

Love the way "The Apple" depicts 1994. Either this is how I remember that year, or I was doing way too many drugs!!!

  • I cannot believe I finally found this movie! My journey started with the song "Alfie, where are you now? Will I ever see your face again?". I had to find out what movie that that song was in. I was a kid then, and it was an impressionable movie to me. "I Stand Alone" is a song I remembered, but didn't remember it was to this movie. Wow.

Now looking at the trailer, it's a goofy movie. But to a 9 year old with this new thing called "cable", it was a heck of a movie.

  • How did they get 1994 so spot on?

  • @psynno1 It's not that hard.

  • @psynno1 LOL JHHAHAHAHAHA

  • @psynno1

80's music in the 90's? Oh heck yes. ;)

  • I saw it baked off my ass and it didn't help. This movie is torture to sit through.

  • @gaywitches4aborshun

I thought it was funny as shit baked dude.

    Get a better dealer.

  • I was pretty blazed one night and this came on TV. I thought it was the best movie I had ever seen. Sober now, I realize how screwed up my judgment was. This fails on so many levels.

  • I so have to smoke before watching this....

  • Comment removed

  • the singing and dancing looks kind of cool, i might have to check it out

  • Oh, the humanity!!!

  • One of the worst movies ever; but in a good way! Watch it once and you will never forget it. Total proof people did a lot of drugs in the 70's/80's...

  • @bonjourpeewee the worst movie ever period

  • In 1994, the world is controled by one power, CAMPY DISCO!

  • Confession Time!!!!!

How many of you guys are from TV Tropes? Dont be shy :3

  • Ummm....yeah, that'd be me......

  • Not to brag, but I saw it in a theater in LA a few years ago. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

  • I can't believe I didn't know this movie existed. It is worse than Xanadu, and somehow this makes it better...

  • It was bad but you know I decided to watch it to get a good laugh and then after a bottle of wine I am embarrassed to say that I was singing "Hey Hey Hey pims on his way." Okay so without the wine don't know how far I would have gotten. My friend wanted to kill me for keeping it on. I was amused. :)

  • This is one of the most horrible things I've ever experienced

I think this actually gave me diarrhea!

  • I just saw this on on demand! From the summary I had no idea how craptastic this was! It makes Rocky Horror look like singing in the rain. It was painful, but I just couldn't look away.

  • the apple computer mac .the apple fans would look like this.Thats why they are too defensive when you insult apple products.

  • dreadful movie

  • The guy who sings with a big apple in his

    hands has fucking tits!

  • lol

  • You can tell this was another one of those movies made by people who were doing a ton of coke at the time. I'm sure it all seemed like a great idea back then.

  • I wish 1994 had been that awesome.

  • @kodiakfred140

Ha! You're so right; by the time '94 rolled around, it looked NOTHING like this flick! Though whether that's good or bad is a matter of opinion.

  • @kodiakfred140 kodiak, if 1994 was like that the entire country of america wouldve been labelled, " Drug capitol of the world"

  • Wonder if this was about Mac computers taking over the world? LOL.

  • That was the stupidest movie trailer I've ever seen!!!!

  • beautifully horrible

    one possible future america that makes our current situation seem like paradise;

which i guess makes it a feel good movie for the new millennium

  • Holy shit! This looks horrible! Can't wait to see it!

  • What... The HELL... Was that?!?

  • It looks so bad, but I actually want to see it :) I don't know if this 'apple' is good... or bad? :|

Everyone seems to be pretty happy to be ruled by this mystical 'apple'... even people about to go in for surgery appear to be dancing about it at 0:17...

  • LIKE A PUPPET ON THE STRING

  • This movie really is so bad it is good. I can tell they spent a lot of money, but the whole thing is camp to the extreme. It had to have been intentional. I can see why people had disco fatigue between 79-81. lol

  • At last! A movie sillier than ZARDOZ! This rules!!!!!

  • 1:53

"I've never been so high in my life"

What the hell? I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard.

  • Does anyone know where to get this movie, in any format?

    Thx

  • A video store.

  • Amazon has it for sale.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • barzouf94 -- You can get this movie from Netflix!

Highly recommended... monumentally ridiculous and fun. Get it!

  • I remember 1994 and I must admit we all looked like gay extras from buck rogers. And thank god the grunge scene exploded and destroyed our evil nemisis THE APPLE

  • Who knew that in the future, everyone would look like a gay extra from Buck Rogers?

  • Wow, it's like they could see into the future, all the way to the year 1994!

  • cheesy trailer what were they thinking!!!

  • Where can I get some of what the writer and/or director who made this were smoking?!?

  • how did I miss this?

  • PRAISE JESUS? NO. PRAISE THE APPLE

  • It's 1994 the world is controlled by one power lol, so funny!!!

  • I though it was dude from the who too, man is everyone in this movical tone deaf? This whole movie in flat>

  • 0:17... are those... dancing Pyramid Head nuns?

  • Is that Roger Daltrey from The Who @1:25 ? It totally looks like him...

  • Nah man, but he runs a resturant in Brighton now. He's been on Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Funny shit. He said this musical was voted third worst in the world!

  • OMG! If this was voted 3rd worst in the world what can 1 and 2 be like? I cant believe that my girl got me to sit through this movie. I would have rather have removed my brain though my nose with a pair of knitting needles then watch this again.

  • For odd some reason, this movie reminded me a lot of "Rocky Horror." Maybe it was the seduction scene between the white guy and black woman.

  • In the future there is no auto-tune.

  • A Menahem Golan production. He never was a purveyor of quality!

  • Blimey, this movie was really after the Logans Run/Xanadu joint demographic...

  • This is horrible. I MUST SEE IT.

  • if we all used macs, the world would look like this

  • I feel sick

  • God, Cannon made some shit movies in the early 80's, but this has to be the shittest. I don't even remember it being released, it must have been about the time of Diana's wedding. It's obvious they were trying to cash in (STILL) on the
