Just like with Boba Fett's new voice, ever since the changes to the Greedo scene, I just hate the old version. They could at lease shown the laser fly from Han's blaster rather than just showing Greedo blow up randomly.

I feel I should explain the parsec thing, as I know it. It was a mistake in the movie, but the expanded universe explained it. Kessel has black holes near it.Ships making the Kessel Run have to take a longer route to avoid the black holes. Being able to make the run in very few parsecs means Han's ship could take the short route close to the black holes because it was fast enough to go without getting pulled in. Historically, Kessel Runs were the name for Germans in WWII delivering supplies.

The original scene didnt have any, if you ment the Greedo and Solo scene. Back then they thoug that the scene worked just fine even without subtitles, and imho it perfectly does. They added the subtitles in the re-mastered edition.
