I was lucky to see Tull in 1978. I went to so many concerts in Seattle, Washing ~ oh baby-doll ~ 'Tis an awesome memorie to conjure up when feeling the BLUES! ~ \|/
I saw Tull during this tour. Ian's voice was perfect and I remember "Songs from the Wood" . I was amazed at the precision of the band which performed this difficult song as good as it sounded on the album.
It's unbelievable, how GREAT they were live. 'Were', unfortunately, because, now Ian's voice is not even close to this, but at least we have these recordings today.
@dupaorangutana True, anytime I've seen them in the past few years it definitely hasn't been up to par with things like this video. However, I still enjoy seeing them just for the sake of seeing them. And yeah, it's great to have access to videos like this =)
I saw Tull when they were touring behind this album and they were PHENOMENAL. Can't put it into words how incredible they are in performance! Still, even now, all these years later.
@gunshy9 Fleet Foxes! Not as prog and obviously virtuoso-like with their chosen instruments, but I find many parallels between FF and SftW-era Tull. I've loved Tull for a quarter century, and I fell in love with Fleet Foxes the first moment I heard them. Check 'em out! I'm especially a fan of "Ragged Wood."
Nice :)
