i like this games intro its the best iv seen in the sonic series. now looking at the intro of sonic cd would it be sweet to see a sonic game as a free rome world and you as the player running sonic up the giant chain to the death star looking planet and doing his thing KABOOM
@dfgnfgnfgn Since I got all the time stones, the floating planet can finally disappear back to where it belongs. Also, at the end it says "You're Too Cool!!" Actually the concept of the planet disappearing was LOOSELY used in a sonic underground episode... Once you get all the time stones, the levels begin to change into a renewed state, same design, different color scheme. Any other questions?
@Joey19990 i also just noticed lookin back in one of them you see eggman get away with one of the time stones am i right? also i don't get how in one ending you see eggman flying away and sonic throws a rock and take him down but in another you don't does that mean he was supposed to die or something either way it seems like sonic wins
@dfgnfgnfgn yep, but robotnik doesn't die, he just goes away until the next game. I really should review this... maybe later. Thanks for the comments though! :D
@blackdoom5 actually eggman had a time stone and eggman goes back to the past and reconnects the little planet to the mountain so eggman basically got away used a time stone and fucked every thing up thats why in the credits it says try again
@segaimportmaster That's because the sega cd was a 1x speed cd rom drive and could only access so much memory at a time from the disk. In order to combat this problem, programmers made the video screen size smaller and the framerate MUCH lower. Hope I answered your question! :D
Also the CD drive didn't have the computing horsepower built in to decode MPG standard video, unlike the CDi, PSX, etc (all of which run at something similar to VCD standard, using 1x CD speed and giving quality much like VHS long-play)... it uses Cinepak instead. which made it cheaper and more popular but very limited in the quality of video that its poor old CPU/GPU could pump out! It's even more obvious with something like Night Trap where it's got live action video not cartoons...

Sonic CD is the weirdest retro sonic game ever. True Anime cutscenes, modern, real instrumental music, yet 16-bit game graphics? What the hell?

Where's the bad ending?
cartoonfan79 5 months ago
GOOD/BAD Ending info-Theres two ways to get the good ending#1-Go to the past on every zone and destroy the robot generator
#2 Collect all of the time stones in the special stage.
However if you fail to do neither of em you will get the bad ending.
Now in the good ending the planet shows sonics face onit then it dissapears back to were it belongs and also sonic doesnt let eggman escape.
In the bad ending the planet doesnt show sonics face on it nor will it dissapear and egggman gets away

@dfgnfgnfgn Diffrence is in Bad ending LITTLE PLANET Explodes and sonic uses a timestone dropped by eggman to go into the past to save the future.
But Good ending The planet fires fireworks and creates a large feild of flowers also showing you the good deeds sonic has done on the planet.

I'm confused. Why does it look like that? It looks different on sonic mega collection and sonic jam.
